  1. Mmm.. more like youtube/tutorials on one screen Blender on another and a paint program or game engine on another screen.
  2. Any reason as to why I wouldn't need more than 16?
  3. I might, will have to see what my next 2 paychecks are like. but what about ram and ram speeds?
  4. Yeah I was leaning towards 1080ti since it will be a while till we see the RX version of Vega and how it stacks up in gaming, though I am unsure if I should hold my breath for it.
  5. I want to start this off from where I came from with a prior machine, I used to have a i5-3570K with 16 gigs of DDR3 memory and a R9 280x video card, due to some issue with my video card I no longer have it and now on a older Nvidia 550ti card. My new rig consists of a AMD 1800X with 16gigs of DDR4 2400mhz memory and the before mentioned 550ti. I want to build my computer around doing gaming, 3D modeling, 3D animation, and game creation. Obvious choices of programs are Blender, Sculptris and for game engines will be Unity and CryEngine. So, what I am looking for is obviously not staying with the memory choice that I have it was something to get to get by, so, new memory up to 64 gigs and video card(s) I should invest into. I want to run a 3 monitor setup each at 2560x1440 resolution for the projects I will be on. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Gotcha thanks for the information, in my mind just trying to figure if I want the 1800X overall
  7. Right I understand that, but even with XFR, the non-XFR chips are being able to OC and catch up at a lower price and are stable.
  8. I can relate to that. So, it's place is to not need to overclock for it's performance? Is there reviews on a stable 1800X overclock?
  9. Watching and reading reviews on the subject the price for performance currently the Ryzen 7 1700 when over clocked can match a 1800X or oc'ed, can anyone explain to me what the point is of the 1800X, does it have it's place?
  10. I am on a old membrane Saitek keyboard that has mushy keys, always wanted to get a mechanical keyboard for a more tactile feel that everyone raves about besides hearing the key clicks while over Skype calls That is why I am entering for a chance at this!
  11. If only I was not writing that so late at night, I was more talking about the 1080 founders edition. They are not literate with tech I will agree but they know not to pay loads of cash for something unless it's needed.
  12. Even if memory speed may seem pointless, in the latest specs it's still faster than previous cards so who cares about it being "almost nothing" because it was a guess in the first place.
  13. Sorry with the added in Nvidia cards I thought the pricy founders edition of the 1080
  14. I do have a few Aussie friends also saying the card would cost almost 1,000 over there and that they will never pay such a price. I agree that video cards shouldn't be that expensive.
