  1. Hey, quick question, are there any programs out there that I can download so I can have another headset plugged in so a friend can listen to what I'm hearing at the same time? Is there any way to do this at all, I haven't even started to look into it because I know I can get quick and reliable answers here. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hey, me again, can someone suggest to me a laptop that's around $350 (Hopefully much less) that will allow me to download Krita software and the like for digitally drawing with a 13 inch Wacom Cintiq Pro? I would really like one to use in school when I don't have time elsewhere. The only thing that really matters would be a color accurate screen (maybe IPS) ((but even then, the tablet I have has a screen)) and -- most importantly -- enough processing power to keep up with my brush strokes so they don't lag too much behind the pen. Oh, and I should add that I don't want anything related to Apple. As if they could make a $350 laptop anyway lol.
  3. Hey guys, I'm currently asked to find a decent school work laptop for one of my VERY computer-illiterate; while I would take this task upon only myself, I don't feel like doing all the extensive research to find the best laptop for him... does that make me a bad friend? Anyway, I would like to give him a laptop that matches these criteria the closest: Under 500 A battery that can last a long while if you're just doing things like writing essays, surfing the web, or playing a non-intensive game like Hearthstone or Don't Starve Together. Windows 10 Can play most games at a comfortable graphics setting (preferably an IPS panel, obviously not higher than 1080p unless under $500) Even though he told me that he probably won't be doing much gaming, I want him to have the capability to. Maybe I can switch him over to PC from the inferior console (Xbox One) that he uses 24/7... perhaps start him off with something like Minecraft... Any help or suggestions welcome, thanks in advance
  4. Actually, I see it on Steam and someone is using it for windows 10 and it looks good. 10 bucks though. Might get it.
  5. Seems kind of dated, but thank you for the recommendation I'll consider it
  6. Does anyone know of something I can download to make putting shortcuts in folders more appealing? And something to change the icons themselves like Nova Launcher on android.
  7. Nevermind, I fixed my own problem lol Looks like I just had to unplug and replug the main PWM header! WOOOOOOOO!
  8. I got another one of these fan distribution cards (because the last one wouldn't power 2 slots): http://www.performance-pcs.com/modmytoys-4-pin-pwm-low-profile-power-distribution-pcb-8-way-block.html And I tested the power distribution with a 9V battery and I noticed one fan not working, so I unplugged it, replugged it, and then another fan stopped receiving power. So I did the same until all fans had power and were spinning. I closed and powered up my PC and everything was working wonderfully until I opened up SpeedFan -- like usual after I boot up -- and the 8 fans on my radiator wouldn't slow down like they normally would with the previous distribution card. So I thought, "New hardware, so different fan control" so I rewatched this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OkBRELqEgM and did all the things Jay said the best I could except there wasn't an option for "Software Controlled" so I kept the options to "Manual" like they were before and I removed the previous fan controllers because they weren't working and tried to set up new ones but this was difficult when I don't have any options for PWM, only Aux, Aux1, and Aux2 because all my fans are on a PWM distribution card. I have a suspicion that the PWM connection to the cable that connects the card to the motherboard is acting up. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do to fix this like redownload (maybe an update) SpeedFan and start anew or something else? I should note that I've never had anything connected to the "CPU_Fan" header on the motherboard only on the 2 Chasis headers ( One 6 Fan Distribution card and one 8 Fan).
  9. @KenjiUmino I'll try the 9V method, thanks for the help tho
  10. This method doesn't seem to be working, I tested on both a working fan and a possibly not working one
  11. So unplug my PC before working on it, right?
  12. Yeah, that's it! So how exactly do I go about doing this?
  13. I want to test the fans themselves, but if they work then it's the Extension card
  14. Ok so quick question, I neglected to check to see if my fans work before I installed them to a radiator and now that they're screwed on a hardline computer it would be a pain to remove and swap for new fans but oh well, hopefully it's the PWM Extension card that's faulty... My question is how do you test a single fan to see if it runs? I have an old spare Power Supply with molex connectors and what seems to be a 4 pin fan connector but I'm not sure. My idea was to get one of the Extension blocks and connect it via molex and SATA for power... But there's no SATA on the PSU... Even so I was able to have power in all my fans on my PC without SATA connected for about 2 weeks until I realized.
