  1. Hey - I'd only be using manufacturers websites or UK amazon (amazon.co.uk) or ebuyer.com - thank you.
  2. Hey - it's been a while since I last visited, glad to be back. After my trusty Dell Inspiron 7537 died tonight, I am on the hunt for a new laptop. My current laptop featured an older 2014-ish Intel i7, 16gb RAM and a 250gb Samsung SSD. I am looking for a similar laptop to replace it. I am known to have around 10 word documents open at once, whilst using chrome for information and simultaneously streaming video or listening to music. My requirements are: - decent battery life (4/5+ hours heavy usage) - around £1000 gbp - at least 8gb of ram - preferably a SATA interface so I could use my old SSD - metal chassis Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions. I've been out of the technology industry to long to even know where to begin!
  3. OK, so about a month ago i got a dell inspiron 7000 series laptop, which has worked great till t'day; I was watching some LTT when i went upstairs and came and back down again, when i resumed playback i heard a crackling in my right speaker of the laptop, tried another video, same problem occurred. Tried messing with Windows settings and even reinstalled realtek hd driver no luck. Any suggestions before i tear the back off and have a looksy inside? and has anyone ever experienced Dell RMA? (if worse comes to worst) also people on the interwebs with the same problem said something about wires getting crossed and others saying speaker was blown.
  4. Depends on what time it is, mostly cereal such as golden nuggets and honey nut cheerios, but i do enjoy pancakes with maple syrip, from MaccyDs (McDonalds). On a weekend mostly leftover pizza.
  5. when you use it for work...?
  6. You are right, that is a tough decision!
  7. What is your use case for the monitor? Consider other factors like ease of RMA.
  8. good, do you have the thread url? my friends is purchasing a monitor arm for his.
  9. I remember Tek syndicate saying that the stand was removable but you had to take the back cover off to remove the stand arm. (Qnix)
