  1. Bigger tubing have thicker walls, which makes them harder to ruin.
  2. You are forgetting that OP used a SysPrep, which is most likely acidic. If there where some left in the loop and as you say, liquid turns blue from it, then we have an answer.
  3. I switched the monitor with my side monitor and now the problem is gone on both. No idea why, as switching cables earlier didnt work at all...
  4. Not as far as I can find: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG279Q/
  5. The monitor takes a line of pixels from about the centre of the monitor and puts in on the left side. It does it even on the "no signal" message, so dont think its the cable. Maybe hard to tell, but you can see the cursor being moved to the left side of the screen.
  6. Well, I put the GPU in and it just worked, once I had updated the drivers. So solved.
  7. Its a reference, so it should be fine. Do I need to disable the other 2? I was hoping to have them in, so they could add extra render power, when doing 3D work. Also, PSU is in the back, under the motherboard.
  8. This is my current system, with 2 980Ti in it. I just got my 1080Ti, but I dont want to take the time to redo the loop, when my new case is 1-2 weeks away (waste of tubing and fluid). Can I just add the 1080Ti into the 2nd slot and make it the primary card? I'm even willing to unplug the power of the other 2, if thats the only way. Motherboard is https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_V_EXTREME/
  9. Might just being the camera, but those looks about identical to me. The reservoir looks a bit darker (might be the darker background), but not more blue.
  10. Can you take an image of the fluid next to the bottle of new fluid, so we can see how much it has changed?
  11. If you dont mind the price, so is there also the frames from Phanteks, that makes any fan RBG: http://www.phanteks.com/HalosLux.html
  12. Are you sure you flushed out all the SysPrep and Clear fluid? Mixing fluids can make it change color.
  13. Its about $60 difference between a normal 512GB SSD and the WD Black 512GB PCIE SSD. For 4K video editing, so will I benefit from the 400MB/s extra read/write.
  14. Its more a question of, how much can I get out of the PCIE 2.0 2x slot. After all, no point buying a good NVMe drive, if I cant even use half its speed.
  15. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/X99-M-WSSE/overview/ Is there any point to using a proper M.2 PCI SSD, like this one: https://www.wdc.com/products/internal-ssd/wd-black-pcie-ssd.html ? Or should I just use an normal SSD in M.2 format, like this one: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/storage-ssd-mx300 ?
  16. Just 1 problem, not a single Founders Edition is in stock. Also, I have heard that Nvidia wanted to be the only one to sell Founders edition and it seems to be the case, as sites like EVGA dont list it for sale anymore.
  17. And I take it you have a list of which is reference pcb? Because, I dont... Also, no need to mod the bracket, as long as EK has the waterblock: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-ti-i-o-single-slot-bracket
  18. To start of with: which 1080 Ti models can be made into single slot, with water block? I know there is the EVGA Kingpin, but its one of the more expensive models out there, at $1200 with water block. And there is the Founders Editions, but thanks to Nvidia's demand, so have they been re-branded. Making it harder to find correct model, like the Asus 1080 Ti Turbo, which looks like it can be made single slot, but no water block available. To add to the challenge, so must it be a model I can buy in Norway (warranty is a pain otherwise). This site is probably best to check if any stores has it: https://prisguiden.no/
  19. The only alternative to those fittings, is the Thermaltake once (at least when it comes to branded stuff), but they forces the use of there controller. As for how much they light up. You can see that the light effects almost the entire tube in the picture, its just a lot weaker at the bottom. You can see the same in the build Linus had someone do, the effect is there, just not all the way: Given that its edge lighting, so cant you expect it to go all the way, but it still adds an extra effect to the build.
  20. https://www.alphacool.com/shop/modding/lightning-module-und-led-s/22279/alphacool-aurora-hardtube-led-ring-16mm-deep-black-rgb?c=20705 So those are released and the question is, can you use those with any 4-pin RGB LED controller? After all, it looks like a standard LED 4-pin connector. They have there own controller, but having 10+ of these laying around, would be quite a mess. https://www.alphacool.com/shop/-new-products-/22186/alphacool-aurora-led-rgb-controller?c=20705
  21. Or you can just make things easy and buy a helix reservoir, like this:
  22. The 2nd is for more head pressure, if needed. Plus redundancy.
  23. When you start talking 5+ water blocks in a big tower, so cant you use any pump. Linus found that out on his 1 CPU 7 Gamers video (8 water blocks). Also, the original idea was to use the SSD mounts in some way, to prevent drilling, as acrylic is easy to ruin.
  24. Everything that gets too hot over long periods of time, can catch fire. So the only design "flaw" is the stock housing is not meant for what the users are putting it through. But enough about that: Lets say I go for D5 instead, can the strange houses of a dual D5 even be mounted with velcro? https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-xtop-revo-dual-d5-pwm-serial-incl-pump
