I was playing modern warfare 3 and my friend invited me to play insurgency so I launch the game and it would close out within 3-5 seconds. I tried going back to mw3 and same thing, exits after 3-5 seconds. All my games are doing this. I’ve tried updating my gpu drivers, verifying game files, re-downloading games, restarting steam, redownloading steam, restarting my computer and still the same issue. This is steam games only rainbow 6 on uplay and fortnite are working fine

I don’t have a hard drive big enough to back up everything

I’ve been getting these blue screens ever since I built this pc in 2016, I tried troubleshooting then, watched YouTube tutorials, updated drivers, but nothing worked and eventually gave up since the blue screen only happened when computer booted up from a shutdown, so I stopped shutting it down and just put it to sleep. Fast forward to last week I got a gpu (gtx 970) and thought that may fix the problem because everyone keeps telling me to update the intel graphics driver. The error on the blue screen is usually “System Service Exception”. And sometimes after the blue screen it says select correct boot device. Basically it needs to restart after booting up from a shutdown

I have a gtx 970 g1 which needs a 8+6 pin and my psu (cx 430) only had one 6+2 so I ordered a 6 to 6+8 splitter and now it’s powering fine (or at least it’s turning on and the wind force on the gpu is illuminated). So I’m just wondering should I get a molex to 8 pin pcie instead of doing a 6 to 8+6 on a single pcie? Is this a fire hazard? My friend told me this way I’m just waiting for a fire to happen

To clarify, the first one is my power supply’s and the second one is the 6 to 8+8

I only had one 6+2 pcie and my gpu (Gigabyte gtx 970 g1) needs 8+6 so I ordered a splitter that said 8+ 6+2, but then they sent the wrong one so they sent this one which is 8+8. What can I do?

is there any way i dont have to buy a brand new psu?

so with this one i just unplug my old cables and plug this in?

Hi, im building my first ever rig and i put a r9 380 4gb in my pc part picker list and i got a bunch of comments saying nvidia is realeasing new gpus and ill be able to get a 970 for about the same price.... Is that true? And when exactly are the coming out, im not waiting a whole year. And is it worth waiting for? I can wait until summer
