  1. Just to echo, a used gtx 970 or 980 are your best bets. If you can wait a week, my gtx 970 strix might be up for grabs. I just bought a 1080ti, but I wanna test it before I fully commit.
  2. Return your purchase if you are able. It will only lead to sadness. Check out hardwareswap on reddit if you want cheaper video cards. A non-reference gtx 970 for $150 isn't all that rare. Consistently going for $170 on a daily basis.
  3. While I don't care for curved (annoying for content creation, not a big difference in gaming), I'd still say go with the CFG70. Simply because 24" 1080p is a good sweet spot, plus better panel. If you were to go up to 27", then I'd suggest 1440p. But that's just me. I remember hearing that the Samsung quantum dot monitors all suffered from ghosting, so you might want to look into that. Maybe it was just certain models. Out of curiosity, are these the only 2 monitors you're considering? If not, what's your price range?
  4. A silly workaround is to not fullscreen the browser, but to leave it windowed slightly. Then it'll fullscreen properly when you fullscreen the video. I'm unaware of any real fix; I never really looked into it.
  5. G-sync is for when you push less frames than your refresh rate. FastSync is for when you push more frames than your refresh rate. They work in conjunction.
  6. FastSync only works if you are pushing more frames than your refresh rate. G-Sync and FreeSync only work if you are pushing less frames than your refresh rate. They can work in conjunction. e.g. 60hz monitor with G-Sync and FastSync enabled will use G-Sync while if you are getting less than 60fps and FastSync will kick in when you are getting more than 60fps. Both are used to remove tearing. FastSync works in the same situations as V-Sync. Also, FreeSync doesn't cost anything extra.

    DT770 Pro's

In my experience of owning the DT 770 pros, if you want to block outside sound, you'll need to turn them up, and if you turn them up, you'll get sound leakage. You might want to hear what they sound like on someone else first of you're worried about sound leakage.
  8. As an owner of DT 770 pros and someone who wears glasses all the time, they are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. Easily wearable for 6+ hours if you have the right head shape.
  9. It all comes down to personal preference. I wouldn't wear my dt770s for public transportation or at work because everyone near me would hear. But for at home use, they are perfect. And they're the most comfortable headphones I've ever put on. The velour ear pads also might be why the sound leaks, but the comfort is unmatched. Between the 80ohm and 250ohm, I would choose the 80ohm every time because you don't need an amp to drive and the little extra bass. But i could see someone who plays fps games using the 250ohm because they have slightly more pronounced highs. 80ohm definitely wins for music. Oh, I should mention the cord is hella long. So you'll need to keep it coiled up for mobile use.
  10. I fairly sure you'll need an amp for the 250ohm version. But iirc, there isn't that much of a difference in the sound quality between the two. For some reason, I'm vaguely remembering that the 80ohm version had slightly more bass than the others giving it a really nice V curve if you're into that signature. Not overpowering bass. Very tight, accurate, and fun to listen to.
  11. Something to note about the dt770 pro, even though they are closed back, they do leak sound. Especially if listening to louder music. They don't leak as much as open back, but enough to where my gf can hear what I'm listening to if we're in the same room. You might want to test them out with someone else and see what you think. They are extremely comfy though and have a great sound signature (imo). I have the 80ohm version and have zero trouble powering them with an old ipod, phone, or computer.
  12. Seems the SKU associated with that ad is for the m.2 500gb variant. Doesn't look like they even carry the 1tb sata version. However, you might have luck price matching the 1tb at Staples.com since they carry it. Edit: They updated their ad to say 500gb.
  13. I've had all sorts of problems with CheVolume. I'd recommend trying out audio router. It's the same thing, but free and works perfectly for me. https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router
  14. I had a similar issue with Dark Souls 3 for months until 2 days ago. I went through all sorts of troubleshooting. Try using a different psu. I had a brand new Evga 750 p2, so i thought it couldn't be my problem, but as soon as i popped another one in, i had no more restarts. Generally, if there's no bsod or errors, it's hardware related.
