I was looking at the Intel boards on Newegg and happened to notice something. The ASUS Sabertooth Z87 board is priced at $222.99. However, under the volume discounts when buying 2-4 of the board it is priced at $124.00 each. I added 2 to my cart to make sure that it came up with this price and it did. So you could get 2 of the board for about $30 more than just buying 1. It's a pretty good deal if maybe you and a friend were both looking into a new build or if you just wanted a backup board. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131976

I would normally read through this whole thread to find an answer before posting this but I'm about to leave for work. The only thing I have left to buy in order to upgrade my server is my RAID card. I am going to have some 2TB drives that will not fit into my case, I have a 4-Bay Mediasonic box that is currently unused and plan on putting the drives into it. My question is, if I hook the Mediasonic box up to my computer with eSata will it be part of my total storage space on the list? It will be hooked to the server 24/7 so I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but, I just wanted to double check.

Was just getting ready to post the same thing until I saw this thread. My buddy got the K70 RGB with the old logo about 2 weeks ago from the Corsair website, It's also available on newegg.com. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823816022&cm_re=k70-_-23-816-022-_-Product

Found the channel back when the LanBoy Air came out. Ended up buying it as the case for my first build.

Is it possible to mod a non-modular to a Semi-Modular PSU?
swizzle90 replied to swizzle90's topic in New Builds and Planning
Since posting this I have acquired the funds to buy a new modular power supply. However, I've decided that I am going to go through with the project. I figure it will be a fun mod to do, and I need practice sleeving smaller wires, in my day job I'm used to working with up to 0000 AWG wire/cable. Once I buy all the connectors I need I'm going to get started. And since there will be absolutely no PSU modification, only cable modification then I don't see any foreseeable problems. On a side note, I have extensive experience with wiring harnesses, crimping, etc.... as I build wiring harnesses that are used in trains and various other methods of transport. -

That's what I meant. I would not be adding anything that isn't already there. Basically just shortening the cables and making extensions. No intentions of adding stuff that isn't already there. -
Windows XP Pinball??

I may have to check that one out when the time comes.

I would just buy another power supply, but I don't currently have the funds to do so. I would not be adding stuff that is already there, just putting in a "breakaway" spot. That way the stuff I don't need, such as the GPU power I would be able to remove it and if I use the PSU in a different build later on down the road just hook it back up. Here's an example of where I would add the connectors. Pic is not of PSU I want to do this too. I would be doing something like this. This is a PSU that I had in an old computer, it had short cables with connectors that plugged into longer cables. -
If you don't mind waiting and saving the money then MDPC is definitely the way to go, I have seen a couple rigs in person that have it and it looks beautiful.

Haha, I wish. I'm cheap/poor and paying of student loans, so cheap cards from Monoprice are fine with me for now. Just waiting til I get paid to order a new one, I have one somewhere but cannot find it. I plan on getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816101358 at some point in the near future.
