  1. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Just need to wait for this house sale to complete and I think we're good to go!
  2. Hi Allupyourfinger. Are all the parts available in the UK (I know I put GBP but didn't say I'm in the UK, I'll edit the original post)
  3. Hi everyone! We're in the process of selling our house, and as part of the sale I am looking to potentially take some of the money (not much as we need to do some repairs to the new house) to build my first PC. At present, I have no parts that I can use at all and no experience of building previously, but I am looking for the following, if possible: 1. Budget & Location £800 GBP - May be able to stretch to £900 if the parts warrant it. EDIT: I am in the UK so parts would need to available there 2. Aim Mild gaming (I don't game much but may be looking to get into it a bit more), Microsoft Office (for work) and web development software 3. Monitors Two monitors would be preferable (I doubt the budget spreads to three). This would need to be included In the budget please 4. Peripherals I do have a keyboard and mouse that I would be able to use, unless you can recommend something. I will also need Windows 10 Thank you all in advance!
  4. Hi guys. My cousin is looking at building his first PC. He is ideally wanting to use it to play games such as Destiny 2 and Dark Souls. He also would like to stream, but not sure if this would be possible on a budget of £800. As far as I know, he needs EVERYTHING, including monitor and keyboard/mouse. Finally, just to be a real pain he needs wherever he buys it from to accept PayPal credit? Any chance you guys can help me out here?
  5. Thank you very much for this. Would the 8GB RAM be enough? This isn't a bad idea at all!
  6. Probably should have mentioned that. I currently only have enough for the 10% deposit and I'll be taking advantage of their Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later finance option. I would wait until I had the money but my laptop is giong to die very, very soon, leaving me with just an iPhone
  7. Hi all, I was wondering what the best PC build you could put together with parts only from Overclockers or Aria.co.uk. I need it to do the following: Have 2 monitors Be under £1000 total (including the monitors) Be able to play Football Manager 2016 and above (I'll be getting into other games at some point too) In addition to this, can you say roughly how it would compare to an iMac? I know it's a lot to ask. If I've missed anything, please let me know If it helps, in the slighest, I do have a Zalman T4 Case lying aronud (never used) Thanks again!!
  8. Ideal thanks I'll have a look around. What did you think of the build itself?
  9. Hi there people. Having posted earlier about having to replace my laptop soon as it is on it's way out, I wonder what people thought of the build below. To summarise: 1. I need to use a site like Overclockers for their Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later policy as I've not yet got the money but need a PC/Laptop in the next few weeks 2. I need to include a monitor somewhere as I only currently have a 42" TV in the house 3. I'll need to build a ghetto desk as I don't have one of those around either 4. The system will be used for Sublime Text web development, Microsoft Office work (lot's of Excel) and Football Manager 2016 upwards (with 3D match engine on) Anyway, please let me know your thoughts! 10. Would this build be any good at all?? 11. Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that really. I'll be using the laptop for Microsoft Office stuff, Sublime Text for Web Development and also Football Manager 2016 and onwards. I'm looking at playing more games in the future but not until I have finished my latest course at work.
  12. Very true!! I don't have a desk though so would need one of those. Although I could fashion one myself I guess out of any old stuff. Can you build a PC for around the £550 mark from places offering Buy Now Pay Later? I only know of Overclockers, MeshComputers and Aria
  13. Thank you both. The issue I have here is that I can't use Buy Now Pay Later. I'm thinking at the moment at the only real option is going to be a laptop isn't it? I may have to build something after my wedding this year
  14. Hi all. I hope this is in the right place!! I'm currently having issues with my laptop (hardly surprising, it was cheap when I bought it and that was 7 years ago!!) Still, I've got a budget of £500 to purchase EITHER a laptop or a PC. I can't go over this budget really but the following issues need to be observed too: 1. I have to be able to use Buy Now Pay Later over a 12 month period so something like Overclockers has to offer (I need the time and 10% deposit suites me PERFECTLY) 2. If I go down the PC route, I need a monitor as well. Not ideal 3. I have to stick to the £500 budget Is there anything you guys could recommend at this price? Normally I would wait until I had the full amount in cash ready to spend, or hold on for a little longer but I cannot see my current laptop lasting much longer. It's done well to get this far Thanks in advance people!!
  15. Hi. I need to test that a CPU and fan I have works before trying to sell it. However, I have no LGA1150 motherboard to test it with. Are there any places that would do this at all? I'm in the UK
