  1. I used Aomei Backerupper. I feel like this piece of information is irrelevant, though? Also, considering the fact that you didn't elaborate on why that was stated. Who knows, maybe it is? I'm a noobie in this space. Thanks for the reply.
  2. I exchanged my CPU/GPU/Mobo recently. Before doing this,I did a backup and made a hard disk image file (including three drives total: 2 SSDs and 1 HDD) saved to an external hard drive. I restored the image file(s) back onto my three aforementioned drives, respectively. It's as if nothing happened, i.e., they got back all their folders and files that were there prior to the hardware changes. However, none of my programs/applications are listed in their usual spots, e.g., in the 'Start Menu', Bottom Right Taskbar, and in the 'Uninstall or Change a Program' areas. I'm still able to manually search for them and open them, but simultaneously it's like my computer doesn't know they're there. It's as if the image backup and recovery was a waste, you know? I can't find any information on this doing Google searches, despite this being such a seemingly common exercise. Since I've been doing research on how to troubleshoot this issue, all I've been finding are guides on how to solely perform the hard disk image backup itself, but nothing that comes after the image restoration. So, I come to you all to request help. I don't know where to go from here. Thanks in advance!
  3. I'm doing exactly this (switching out my Intel CPU, GPU, and Mobo for AMD components); however, I created a system image of multiple hard drives onto one single external HDD. I also have a USB flash drive that I burned Windows 10 onto using the 'Windows Media Creation Tool' that I will use as my boot drive. I understand that I will need to use the backup/restore software with which I created the system image initially once I reboot after switching out those pieces of hardware. What I don't understand is how will those hard drives, assuming I didn't wipe them, behave when I 1) reboot my system with them plugged in and 2) go to use the backup/restore software to restore the system image of all my drives? I hope I illustrated my predicament quite clearly, but if not, please ask me to do so further. Thanks!
  4. Thank you all for replying ;).
  5. Thoughts on this specific network card for online gaming: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TQEX7AQ/?coliid=I2OGEM5PGLBN2R&colid=17F0B8DB86D3S&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it And thoughts on network cards for online gaming, in general? Can certain ones or for instance this one, dispel networking lag spikes during gameplay or is it just not possible without a wired connection? Thanks.
  6. For a Lag-Free Online Gaming Experience? Does such a thing exist?
  7. Hello all, Once again, I come to you for questions because you're all just so damn reliable and knowledgeable. I know this is probably a silly question, but can you guys suggest me a rock-solid ISP? I live in Nashville, TN. All I need the internets for is to be able to: 1) Online game (of course) 2) Download online games 3) Watch Twitch/YouTube/Netflix I use approximately 3 devices at any given time, e.g., desktop, phone, and TV(s). I would like something with "fast" download/upload speeds, albeit not sure what those would be. I'm used to 45 Mbps (download) and 8ish Mbps (upload), and let me tell you, it is atrocious for downloading games online. Not sure why bc I thought these speeds were fairly viable. Do you think 100 Mbps (download) would be overkill for one person? Also, want to keep my plan either at or below $80/mo. Hit me with some suggestions please. Thanks in advance ;D
  8. What is the difference between the "Series"? Do you know?
  9. TCL 4K UHD 4 Series (HDR 55") or LG UJ 6300 4K UHD (HDR 55") I wanted something that had a good quality, but under $500. My use of this TV will consist of watching Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, and Sports. Thoughts? Any other suggestions? Thank you.
  10. How does one setup the audio component for a wall-mounted TV? Generally speaking, does one use a sound bar that is mounted along with it or is a surround sound configuration better suited for this sort of setup? Thanks in advance.
  11. I can't seem to google the solution to this problem, and thus I come to you all ... I don't know if this applies across the board to all my applications/general usage of the PC, but for whatever reason, in playing games, Fornite specifically, my DS4 USB receiver is essentially hijacking my audio input/output priorities, and I can't hear voice communication; however still able to hear in-game effects. In addition, there doesn't seem to be any issues when using Discord, as far as hearing and communicating with friends goes...So I'm presuming it may be an issue with the audio priorities of Fortnite, in which case I have already toggled my Voice Chat Input Device as being my headset/microphone. With all that being said, I still would ultimately like to somehow disable the DS4 dongle as being recognized as an audio device, which I would think would be the ultimate solution here. Any possible solutions or suggestions? Thanks.
  12. What do you guys think? Worth it?
  13. Has anyone ever used Mint Sim (Ultra Mobile) cell phone service in the southeastern United States? From what I can gather, it seems to have some of the greatest data plans out there currently; however, I haven't heard anything about the quality. No one seems to have performed a proper review in regards to that. Please let me know if you all have heard anything about/tried Mint Sim. Thanks!
