    Without doxing myself too hard, We have mobile techs that only do insurance claims. They were for them if i haven't mentioned already.

    UPDATE: So apparently all 4 of them were legit and sent over by an insurance company we work with...whoops...Glad i found out after i mercifully slaughtered one.. It still worked though.

    Sonic welds are original and no Flux on the board. Probably some kind of mailing scam rather than some kind of psiphon.

    That's kinda cool actually. The red phone is fake. We just keep it around for the novelty and to trick new trainees. This store phone is about at the end of its life, dock connector and battery are both passed it.

    No idea, tried another lightning cable and they're all working just fine. Comparing to the ifixit teardown they're legit.

    I work in a repair center that is not apple certified. We have never had any connections to Apple and as of now, never will. We got 4 of these docks in the mail today all of which don't work. (tested with two of our old loaner phones) no return address. Each box had a dock and piece of paper which I'm confident isn't legit. Our shop is in Texas if it means anything. (shipped like this with the paper folded on top of it)

    hello again yall, I recently picked up an old Galaxy S7 Active for $30. My plan was to leave it plugged in at the bottom of my S340 Elite and run NZXT CAM 24/7 to show utilizations and temps. Since cam doesn't seem to want to work for anyone these days, are there any other options?

    This thread is dead but i still feel like i should give an update. The problem was totally physical but i plugged in another 1tb HDD i had laying around and heard the click of death. Thanks Seagate. But when i threw the Toshiba drive that vanished in Windows back in, Minitool Partition Wizard picked it up, gave it a new partition, reinstalled my steam library and it's been fine ever since. One thing that threw me off however was my laptop would still boot into Ubuntu which i kept on a 32gb partition on that HDD. I don't know how or why, but whatever.

    Because I'm really good at over-complicating everything. I don't know why but i started trying to install Windows 10 S more for my curiosity. I give up. Windows 10 Home it is. I'm tired of loosing sleep over this.

    I just ended up just reinstalling Windows 10 Pro and running the executable i mentioned earlier to convert it to windows 10 S. My only issue now is it's an inactivated copy and being Windows 10 S, that means a lot. I can either upgrade from the activated version of Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro For $100 or activate Windows 10 S that i have right now for $200. I'd hate to give away a system more locked down than it already is but as long as the Windows Store is working, i guess it's fine?

    Having a hard time understanding why Microsoft is so reluctant to just publish an ISO at a discounted price and give people the option to upgrade to Windows 10 Home. Just doesn't make sense to me.

    Hey all. I'm trying to get Christmas presents sorted and one thing i was going to give away was older laptop preferably running Windows 10 S mode. I know it's a trash version but it's for a kid. It's an older Lenovo with a clean install of windows 10 Home on an SSD. Only 3rd party program is the AMD graphics driver. I keep seeing other laptops advertised as Windows 10 Home in S mode but i can't figure out how to enable this from a regular install. Microsoft published an executable but it only works on Windows 10 Pro on version 1803. Would everything still work if i just left it inactivated? Something I'd hate to do but you can't argue with a free laptop. Obviously i have plenty of time before Christmas to get this sorted, But I'd hate to buy a $100 Pro license for a 2011 budget Lenovo just to throw it in S mode.     It is not, which is unfortunate. At least i still have M.2. I can try reassigning a drive letter (since i didn't catch that earlier) but i won't have access to another PC until later tonight.

    Should also mention i had the drive in a drive toaster (external sata dock) when i took the screenshots; That was the most life i ever got out of it. if it's in my laptop, it doesn't show up at all. I'll try to get back to yall when i can

    Hey all. I'm pretty sure my secondary laptop drive is dying but now I'm confident it's just windows being windows. In file explorer, only one partition shows up but in Minitool Partition Wizard i can still see everything, just not access any of it. Any ideas on how to fix this without re-imaging the drive? or is that my only option?

    Coming here is a last resort but I've given up on normal troubleshooting. My work WiFi uses a TP Link mesh system that 1) doesn't work and everything connects to one node in the back and 2) Refuses to cooperate with my laptop. I've tried another OS (Puppy Linux) and changing my IP but the only thing that works is a WIFI dongle that only supports 802.11n which is slow as hell and drops every few minutes, it's just what i had on hand. Is there anything else i could try or should i just bite the bullet and buy a new WiFi card? Mind you, our air space looks like this and Ethernet isn't an option
