  1. It probably isn't noticeable on newer computers, but on old (really old) computers it definitely is noticeable. I've never understood how updates are improving the performance. Sure, they can fix security holes and patch up software problems, but they always slow my pc down. The already limited space I have on my C drive would get even smaller. And I have a limited number of applications on my pc (with zero running in the background unless I want to). It's not their fault. I can't afford the newest i5 cpu and the 970 gpu, which can handle the updates without slowing down. So I'm going to disable the updates every time. I don't even update my browser, since the newer versions end up taking most of my ram and lag.
  2. You could game with a much lower-specced build. Get a recent i5 (4690(K)?), and a 960/970. If you really have that much money to spend, get the 980. IF only you people realized how alien your builds are looking....
  3. People got used to games (and game devs) babysitting them. I don't play CS:GO, but back when I was playing 1.6, I wasn't complaining about players better than me. Back then, you could either change the server like a little bi*ch, or adapt to the stronger players. I was doing both, to be honest.
  4. Holy fuck, how can you people game ? Don't you turn off the torrent apps and browsers? Don't you feel any lag like this?
  5. I never understood why "isaac" is so famous.
  6. I've always found that windows updates slow down my pc over time....
  7. Single core processors can run only one process at a time? I have a hard time believing this.
  8. Move the files you want to keep to your HDD or external drive, format the SSD and install windows 10. You don't need to uninstall windows 7 - the formatting wipes everything off it.
  9. Oh well.... Looks like I'll be staying with this one till something dies.
  10. Nothing, because I never got things for christmas or my birthday. Though, I would like if I got a new pc or a phone.
  11. Something that would run on my ancient PC.
  12. Damn, it's kinda expensive. If I'm to upgrade only one part, which one should it be? EDIT: I read all of your replies, but I can't afford a new pc. No way.
  13. Around 30 dollars, I guess. I'm not american, though, and parts that are cheap there may not necessarily be cheap here.
