  1. Hey all, I currently have a triple monitor setup however I have a spare old screen that I got for free, I would like to mount it above my current Primary Monitor, However I can't find any good information on Monitor arm mounts that have good height or are stable enough that far above the desk. Any information RE; this topic would be fantastic, Thank you
  2. okay awesome, thank you very much Cadence I appreciate your help tremendously
  3. Acer Predator XB271HU 27in G-Sync IPS 144Hz Gaming Monitor Apologies, and i would like to run most/all triple A titles in the foreseeable future at 144 fps + , at 2,560 x 1,440
  4. Hey all, I was having a problem I might ask for help on, currently have an I7-4790,GTX 980 and 32 gig DDR3 and an sata 3 SSD if that's relevent. I want to upgrade to a 1080Ti, will my other parts cause a bottle neck ? is there anyway to tell BEFORE testing the new card? Is there a way to do this with other components or parts in other builds as well.
  5. Just bumping in the hopes someone sees this,
  6. Hey all, I have had help from the people in this forum in the past, I am facing another struggle at the moment, I recently bought the "Acer Predator XB271HU 27in G-Sync IPS 144Hz Gaming Monitor" however when I have Gsync active on windowed mode during games, it has this strange tear effect. I have rotating picture background and every few minutes when this picture changes, it screen-tears through on top of the game I'm playing, maybe 30% of the screen for half a second or less, however this is incredibly annoying and immersion breaking (part of the reason i bought the monitor at all). I am running windows 7 and I do like having aero enabled (I'm assuming that would help fix the issue) however if there is a way i could change my nvdia settings somewhat to fix this issue that would be amazing. To anyone who reads to try help thank you very much
  7. So, there is no monitor that exists even a 144 hz 1440p monitor under 800 AUD
  8. Hey all, Was looking for some help after doing significant research after selling my old 27 inch monitor, I have decided I need a new 27 inch monitor(using the 24 inch is not working out at all) that meets the following 144htz 1440p IPS G-sync I am looking to spend as little as possible but ideally under 800 AUD (I have shipping expenses as well) The best I could find to suit my needs was Acer Predator XB271HU IPS model However with shipping from the states this monitor is over 1200 AUD. Any help with a monitor that meets these specs, second hand or not would be preferable. If it is MANDATORY, even at used price to remove IPS and or Gsync to get the cost under 800 AUD I would settle with that rather than losing 144hz or the 1440p resolution. Any help would be amazing ! Thank you
  9. what about the HyperX Cloud II ?
  10. The HyperX Cloud, would not accidently capture the extra background noise, and has a nice fitting headset you feel ?
  11. Well, I was "hoping" that I could achieve increased quality for maybe $100 ish dollars +shipping but if its more than that how much more, because I could probably stretch to more like 150-180 if its really going to be true quality that lasts a lot of years.
  12. Any Microphone or headset that you have used or would recommend ? Perhaps some price ranges for good quality of each ?
  13. Hey all, Looking for some advice on a new headset, my current headset is the Razer Kraken, which I regretted buying the second I put it on my head, it basically crushes my ears and head and the audio quality is terrible, and the microphone is beyond sub-par. I also continue to annoy my team that I play games with over Skype/discord etc, because the mic doesn't just pick up my voice but ALL the sound within a 10 meter radius of me, sometimes it picks up my sisters talking outside better than my own voice. It also picks up keystrokes from my mechanical keyboard (razer black widow chroma) it was a razer deal for all the gear I am still fine with the keyboard, mouse and mouse-pad the headset should've been a deal breaker had I tried it properly before purchase. On top of this I also live under a Flight-path, so I usually get 10 or so planes flying over my house between 5-11pm which is annoying for me because otherwise I have to stop mid game to try and mute my microphone or people I'm talking to get annoyed because as I said before it picks up background noise fabulously so it is deafeningly loud over such communications. Any new audio setup, a new headset or a desktop microphone + headset combo would be greatly appreciated to try and deal with these issues. TL;DR current headset sucks, Lots of background noise but I only want it to pick up my voice, but do so at least moderately clearly, Thanks
  14. Hey, This post is related to an idea I had that was semi Inspired by scrapyard wars, more or less I want to build a budget gaming pc (apart from the main tower I already own) partially for fun but also as a lan PC for when friend or family come over to use the system and want to play with me. I have attempted to do some digging and also used PC part picker as well as Userbenchmark and Specout to try and get an idea of where I should be looking for this question, but there is so many potential boards. Basically i just want a bare bones no extras board that will support SLI and Crossfire as I have not yet decided on my GPU combo for the system (as they will be bought second hand on ebay most likely). I am also most likely aiming for the 1155 socket boards as I have seen some relatively cheap 3570k's on Ebay for second hand as well as some i7 2600k's and these "seem" best price to performance CPU's for 2nd hand gaming. I also have a Corsair GS700 Power Supply Unit PSU 700W That I have just bought as well to support the SLI system. To clarify I normally would just go for a stronger single card but given that these cards will be much cheaper because of being pre owned I plan to start with 1 card and pick up the second whenever i happen to see a good deal for a compatible card. I have also more or less confirmed that I will go with the corsair carbide spec 1 Case and buy some additional fans for cooling 2 cards. http://www.corsair.com/en/carbide-series-spec-01-red-led-mid-tower-gaming-case TL;DR looking for the cheapest SLI board possible and any tips or recommendations on the case/board/GPU's/CPU or build is greatly appreciated. Kind regards,
