Hi all,
I currently have a Dell U2712HM, which does not allow 1440p over HDMI (max 1080p). I'm considering replacing it with the Acer G257HU, which appears to have HDMI port that will do 1440p.
I have an unRAID machine in a closet with a GTX 1070 passed through to a virtual machine that I do gaming on. I have a desk over 15 feet away where the LCD would reside. I'd like to run a long HDMI cord to the LCD and get 1440p so I can play games that way. I currently have the LCD in the floor of the closet with a 5ft display port cable; so I'm a closet gamer?
I'm having a tough time finding out what the max length of HDMI that would still support 1440p resolution. Any ideas?
