  1. Hey guys, I planning build my own PC and i would like to get an opinion on the parts i have choosen. I would like to do a lot of work in the Adobe suit mostly AFTER EFFECTS, PREMIERE PRO and PHOTOSHOP and a little bit of 3D work in Cinema 4D or Maya. I don't know much about CPU Coolers or PSU, so what would you change in my settup? Is the Motherboard I chose (ASUS X99-A) a good deal or are there better options? The pricing is in EURO, because i live in germany and we don't have a so many retailers as for example you guys in the US Thanks in advance PCPartPicker part list: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/Qpx7cf Price breakdown by merchant: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/Qpx7cf/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor (€391.27 @ Mindfactory) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612 Ver.2 44.2 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler (€46.77 @ Mindfactory) Motherboard: Asus X99-A ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard (€241.29 @ Mindfactory) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (€148.52 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€66.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€50.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card (€647.93 @ Mindfactory) Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case (€157.84 @ Mindfactory) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (€70.84 @ Mindfactory) Total: €1822.26 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-03-30 15:22 CEST+0200
  2. @BigDay I think I'm going with 2x8Gb of RAM, but do you know if I can upgrade to 32GB total? Because the specs on the motherboard only display that it's a quad channel RAM config. Also I might upgrade to a GTX 980 Ti, but I'm still not sure.
  3. Thank to AnnoyedShelf and niofalpha especially to BigDay! I thought i would only get a reasonably good answer in a week and you guys almost answered immediately! I am by no means an expert in computer building, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Thank you for all the folks, who suggested another PSU I'm going to go with BigDays build and maybe extend the RAM to 32GB and also change to a GTX 980 Ti if my budget will allow me to. I'm not so sure if I want to keep the Drive... Thank you all for your help so far )
  4. I never build a pc myself and now that is saved up some cash I wanted to use this opportunity to build my own pc. The type of workload I want to do with that build is mostly video editing, graphics and maybe some 3D work all around the adobe software. So Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and maybe (Cinema 4d), so i think a good graphics card, 32 gb of ram, an i7 cpu and an SSD (paired with a mediadrive) are best. Also i want to run two full hd monitors on this build. Maybe two BenQ GL2450HM 61 cm (24") Gaming on this build would be optional, but i would like to play for example Far Cry 4, The Division (when released), Fallout 4 (when released), Battlefield 4 or Assassins Creed. But playing is not the major priority, although I think this rig would be suited for these games. I would like to get some opinions on this build! As well as some problems I could possibly run into using this system. Here are the parts that i choose: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/D2G2wP Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/D2G2wP/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($328.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($26.98 @ OutletPC) Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste ($6.79 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($127.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($207.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($97.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($88.41 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card ($507.82 @ Amazon) Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case ($119.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($62.98 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($54.89 @ OutletPC) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit) ($86.98 @ OutletPC) Total: $1717.69 Thank you, for your help!
