  1. Ahh that's great, thanks for the info Is unRAID easy to setup plugins for game servers etc?
  2. The SSD was just what I had lying around so not really a massive factor tbf. What will become an issue when I need to run other games?
  3. So i recently got my hands on a dual xeon server with 24gb of ram and wanted to be able to run both a NAS and a minecraft server off it. I'm basically wondering what the best option would be for doing this, I thought running a VM on Windows 7 or 10 for Freenas would be the best option but no idea if that's the easiest option (or even capable of being done). Any insight into this topic would be helpful as I've never really toyed with windows VMs, servers or a NAS before. Additional info: Hoping to be able to run the Minecraft server off a 120GB ssd and backup nightly to a 1TB hard drive in the same system, is this feasible too?
  4. Does anyone know where i can buy a MSI GTX 970 100ME? I'm in the U.K. and really struggling to find anywhere that has one used or new. I love the green colour scheme and i'm a stickler for unique cards or paint jobs. Or if you can think of a similar gpu with a green colour scheme that would be great too Thanks
  5. What is the best laptop for a student for around the £300/$500 price range?
  6. I've tried another monitor that I know works, and with another cable, however I am using an adaptor to get from a dvi output to a vga cable, as I don't have any dvi monitors, could this be the problem?
  7. No burning smell, the gpu fan is spinning, but when I took it too the PC guy, he said the gpu was fine, it was just the motherboard that was faulty, could he be wrong?
  8. Hello, I've recently been fiddling around with my PC and have recently bought quite a few new components. About a week ago I bought an MSI 970a-G43, FX-6300, xfx 6870 and borrowed some corsair vengeance ddr3 ram off my friend, when I put all this in, I had all fans spinning and LEDs etc, but no post. Therefore I took the PC to my local PC shop for him to diagnose the problem. He concluded it was the motherboard that was faulty. So fast forward to today where I've just received a new MSI 970a SLI Krait edition off amazon, I've just installed it and now I still have the same problem. The only parts I haven't changed are my ssd, hard drive, power supply (corsair cx430m), cooler (cm seidon 120m) and case (spec 03)
  9. Can I run crossfire with an r7 250 and an a10 5800k?
