Did you ever XMP or overclock the RAM? Could potentially be bad DIMMs. I would RMA if you still can on those sticks? Or even test a new kit. If its not the RAM, then it could also be the mobo.
I had something similar happen when I built my first Ryzen PC. Do you have any other RAM kits to test? Mine was due to a particualr BIOS version. I flashed it, and it started working again.
I'm liking my 5600x a lot and I'm coming from a 3600x. Like @SpiderMan said, Improved IPC and better single core performance than the Ryzen 5 3600. I can see the difference in the tests I've ran.
I mean you can try, but I'm not held accountable if something breaks or shorts out. It may or may not happen. Could get lucky like Linus and it be a redundant pin.
I'm sorry that this happened to you. I actually had my 5600x ,from Newegg, come in with bent pins all around the corners. I had to take an exacto knife and bend them back.
Not familiar with the high tier Ryzen CPUs, but I know that 3600MHz RAM is the sweet spot for Ryzen. Do you have XMP or any kind of overclock? Do you have PBO on?
