  1. I bought an hx1200 PSU to use in my build, but it was producing an ozone smell that wouldn't go away so I sent it back under warranty. Now, the new one's arrived, installed and everything, good to go, no smell. But now whenever it's under load in a game for a while, it'll just randomly shut off power to the PC-- not a problem experienced previously at all. No windows hardware errors reported in event viewer, just unexpected power off. Leads me to believe they sent me a faulty refurb.. what should I do about this? It's really frustrating, lol.
  2. the only thing between the mouse and the dongle is a couple of cables-- there is direct line of sight
  3. been having fun using the razer naga pro since i bought it, though it keeps just like, the cursor will stop moving ever now and again and you have to shake it for a bit before it comes back, and it does this in the middle of gaming, so a pretty big problem. i tried updating the firmware of the mouse like it says to on their website, but it doesn't seem to help. any tips or anyone else have this issue?
  4. know of any nice high quality mousepads for gaming you can recommend? i haven't had much luck looking for them on amazon. preferably something that just comes in black without any branding
  5. was thinking of buying a naga pro v2 and was wondering if there's a way you can set it up to be constantly charged by one of those wireless charging mousepads? if so, which product would work best for this and ho would I set it up?
  6. Another thing I forgot to mention above: Abyss also sells "Equipment Isolation Rack" to put the DAC/AMP on, starting at $2000. Does that have any actual impact either? What about the "Eleven Audio XIAUDIO Powerman Power Supply" that you can purchase with the amp shown in the OP video? What's it even for? I've heard good things about the fundamental equipment like just the DAC, amp, and headphones themselves, but if the same company that makes stuff like that also sells stuff like this, it makes me question the actual quality of those other products.
  7. Always wanted to try out a super high end set up like this one day. Out of curiosity I took a trip to Abyss' website and loaded up my cart with the equipment shown in the video above, and added their recommended cables as well, which is what I found to be a little dubious. Why exactly does the recommended power cable here cost ~800 dollars? I'm not exactly an audiophile myself, so these are legitimate questions, but does this make any actual discernable difference? What benefit is there to this massively expensive cable, and, does using it produce any measurable difference in the audio quality? Even if measurable, would it produce an audible difference? And this is just a power cable, not even mentioning the 1200 dollar XLR cables-- same question with those, what difference does it actually make? Could someone explain this to me?
  8. I was planning on switching to linux soon, so I'll need to swap in my old utechsmart mmo gaming mouse for something that has more readily available community support on linux, like razer or logitech. I'm looking for a mouse with 12 side buttons for MMO usage, and preferably has a similar size and shape to the utechsmart that I have (dont want to end up buying something too small), but more ergonomic is better. Wireless is nice but not necessary. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
  9. top is AIO, 3 fans bottom, side/upright mounted gpu with 3 fans behind for exhaust, bottom fans will be intake, just need to decide on whether top will be intake or exhaust. if it's exhaut that will be negative air pressure but according to video will have slightly better performance, but if i have it intake, then it will be slightly louder, but have desirable positive air pressure and ease of maintenance. linus recommends having it as a pull/intake for easier maintenance according to his video on pc building (latest one, "last guide you'll ever need" in the relevent section)
  10. In Steve's review for the O11D Evo the thermal charts he shows say they're standardized fans, 2 fans in front and one in rear. I couldn't find a part of the video where he specifically tests more fan configurations unfortunately
  11. I've been having some trouble figuring out what would be the optimal fan configuration for my particular setup. I'll be using it's normal configuration, not reversed, with a total of 9 fans. At around 5:53 this video seems to have the information I'm looking for, but he's also using the front case mod that allows for additional fans to be installed at the front of the case instead of a glass panel, and I don't have this mod or plan to use it. This given, I was wondering if the configuration should be left the same with the lack of the additional intake fans? Or should the top radiator fans be changed to be intakes, with the gpu and fans behind gpu acting as exhaust?
  12. Hi, I'm doing a build with the lian li pc o11d evo with the upright gpu mount. Due to the gpu's position in the computer, I'll need to use either a very long displayport cable, or a male-to-female DP extender cable which I can then plug into another one. I was wondering if daisy-chaining two connectors together like this will increase latency?
  13. thanks! it's a bit out of my price range though unfortunately, as much as i would love to get it. i was hoping for something around 500 dollars maybe, or less?
