  1. If it's changing colour it may be that the cable is lose. If the light is off then technically the monitor should be off? I assume you're talking about the monitor being on and the light doing stuff? If that is the case it may be just a cable check (power an DP cables). Other than that, have you changed any of the settings like brightness or contrast recently?
  2. Thanks Are you talking about the red LED underneath that sometimes goes white with G-Sync? Or the actual power indicator? Apparently in the settings of the monitor it reacts to when the G-Sync is active so if you are going in and out of games in may change. That's if this is the LED you are talking about?
  3. This Acer monitor is a TN panel. It may be that the standard settings are trying to overcompensate for the lack of colour gamit. You will never be able to match a TN panel to the colour output of an IPS display. I would run it with the display port and use the windows colour calibration to adjust it. Some modes on displays can also change the colours so have a look to see it its in 'fps, race or scenery' modes.
  4. Have you got the monitor make and model please?
  5. Asus PG279Q. Second hand should fit your budget and the specs tick the boxes you have asked for. Can go up to 165hz when overclocked.
  6. 960ti should be fine. Probably won't be good for gaming at 1440p but should handle normal tasks like photoshop easily enough. I used to have an Asus PG279Q which ticks all the boxes for you. You should be able to find one second hand for the price you have asked. Alternatively, Dell and BenQ do some decent monitors that don't have the higher refresh.
  7. Would you recommend a 34" ultrawide over a 32 inch 16:9?
  8. This is a VA panel. I had loads of issues with my eyes looking at VA panels. The can show text as blurry and almost look as if antiailiasing is off but all the time! Probably why its cheaper but I wouldn't recommend a VA to anyone.
  9. So, I'm looking to replace my current 31.5" monitor with a new one but I can't seem to find anything that meets the requirements! Basic specs I'm looking for: 30 inches or above (could be 34" ultrawide but not 27" for example) IPS - This is a must. I tested a VA panel from Asus for a week and it had awful image quality! 144hz or higher QHD or 4k - No 1080p Anyone got any suggestions for this? Closest I have got is the Asus PG279Q (but its 27") or the LG 34GK950F (which is still about £650 second hand). My budget is really about £500 ($600) new or second hand. Thanks in advance!
  10. So it’s working although windows isn’t booting as I’ve changed the motherboard?
  11. Right so I have updated it. It now has no cpu light and is not displaying the code 00. It now says the codes for memory inititialiation and beeps once before restarting after a while. Still no post although the motherboard and cpu are not dead!
  12. I’m going to try this. How do you update it? Like where do you download it to?
  13. Yeah already tried and no post. Turns the monitor on but nothing more. Display port cable.
  14. Hi, i have switched my system to an ITX motherboard. Hopefully you can see my original system below. I’m now on an ASU’s Impact VI and it’s not posting. CPU indicator light is on but not flashing. Q code is 00. All fans and pump working. Any ideas? thanks!
  15. Wow that's actually really helpful! Real MVP right here ^
