So, here is the problem I cannot figure out for the life of me what is going on. So currently on my SSD I have like no space, so looking at this it tells me what data is being used where. However... this doesn't add up to 215gb. On top of that the apps and features doesn't add up at all. There is not 127gb worth of data in here, here are the 6 top data consumers. So I have no idea what is going on or what is taking up so much space on this drive I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

So I think it must be a rockstar thing. Back awhile ago I used to see a minimum of 74fps on high settings in gta online, now I can't get over 60 fps in the city. I have a 1080 and 4790k and the i7 only sees 60% usage and maybe the gpu gets taxed at 5-10%. It runs like garbage now and with the new update runs even worse.

Recently I had an update for W10, and in typical Microsoft fashion they can't do anything without messing everything up. So it first puts this massive box out that says I need to update my PC, in which I do and this update takes like an hour. I get back and its done, and it has to set up my Xbox One controller again for some reason, and then it also is making me re install Forza Horizon 4. Except the problem is that I dont have enough drive space, it's already installed and has been working fine so where the hell did all the installed data go? I hate microsoft and they continuously annoy me with their crap windows 10.

So I did the upgrade from W7, and overall, my computers performance has been garbage. Such as the case where even on the lowest settings in GTA5 I cannot maintain 60fps, versus on W7 where it would never drop below 74 on very high. I am going to do a fresh install, and I see the "Reset the PC" options, if I do that and choose to wipe everything, is that considered doing a fresh install? Or will I have to actually have a physical copy of windows10 to get a fresh install?

Well I should say thats what I did to update it. I uninstalled, downloaded newest version and it still does it.

I have the GSKILL Ripjaws software for my mouse, and upon inspection I found out it causes 20% CPU usage. I updated to the latest software and it still does it. Any idea why this is? It causes a huge performance hit in games.

Eventually I plan on doing a fresh install, however I want to know if games being installed on windows 7, then upgraded to windows 10 effects their performance. The problem is the game is 85GB and its going to take awhile if it isnt worth doing the reinstall.

So being I upgraded to windows 10 I have noticed that there has been a lack of performance in some games like GTA5. I originally installed GTA5 when I was on windows 7, and did the upgrade without a fresh install. Would a cause of these issues be that it was installed on Windows 7 and not 10? If I were to re install it on windows 10 would that have any effect? And is there any data on this? It's a big game so I'd like to have an idea before I wait 30 years for it to download.

I couldnt get the VM working.

Ive tried the virtual machine method, but cant get it to work its a huge pain.

So the Microsoft Accessories app was what locked it in DFU mode. It doesnt detect it now in the app. I tried to update it and thats how it got locked.

I actually managed to find the right one I remember from 4 years ago, I appreciate it though.
