That's correct, the 32bit version of Windows 10 has a limit of 4GB RAM.
-
That's a given in most scenarios but not this scenario.
-
How did you not understand that? Why would OP's brother want to get a 970 to game at 768p. It's simply a waste of money. For the price of a 970 he could get a 1080p monitor and a pinless 950.
-
Well I'm sure OP's brother would think it's a bad thing.
-
The 970 is overkill for gaming at 768p unless he plans to get a 1080p monitor.
-
Some factory overclocked cards require 6 pin power. Not many but I don't know which card OP's brother would be purchasing.
-
If your PC is mainly used for gaming then you really don't currently need 16GB RAM. 8GB is more than enough.
-
The 750Ti is a great budget card and would be a great addition to his PC. The CPU is a trooper and more than adequate for 1080p gaming let alone 768p. Just ensure the PSU is suitable.

EA COO Peter Moore Criticizes HD Remasters and Backwards Compatibility

It's so great that it's still having technical issues today. -
Last time I drank alcohol was in 2011 and I don't plan on doing it again. I don't see the appeal.
-
Don't mention it. If you're able to the PG278Q is definitely worth getting, arguably the best TN currently.
-
OP, your choices are between the BenQ XL2730Z and the Acer XG270HU. Sadly both support Freesync and not G-Sync. The only other monitor with the specifications you're asking for is the PG278Q like Birderper recommended but it's over your maximum budget.
-
Had my PG279Q since yesterday. Here are some pictures of the bleeding. First shot is a photo of simply my desktop, not a screen cap from a video. Picture 2 is a screen cap from a video of a Dead Space loading screen. Picture 3 is a screen cap from a video of a Skyrim loading screen. Another 3 still photos of the Skyrim main menu. As you can see the top right corner is very noticeable. Doubt I'll return it as it doesn't look as bad in person. In fact the bottom right corner is more noticeable in person. No US release or pricing has been confirmed either. Proof isn't required, there is only 1 panel that exists with such a specification so it's simply not possible for it to be using a different panel. The XB270HU, XB271HU , MG279Q and PG279Q all use the same panel.
-
Isn't worth getting the XB270HU if you have a single 970.
