  1. Correct. We do not have any local providers. It is a town of about 500 (if that) in the middle of nowhere. Honestly, some links to some tutorials would be much appreciated. It would be for only about 10 computers, so nothing big.
  2. No domain. I am looking for information to set one up. They will have a O365 service to manage emails by the end of the year. The way they are setup at the moment is Win 7 Pro with multiple local user accounts along with a single admin account. For the moment, it all comes to the ISP router/modem. Upgrading to Ubiquiti very soon.
  3. Alright people, I have taken a job, and am trying to make my life a bit easier. I need to setup user accounts on several computers. But have all of their files and desktop on all of the computers. Being the mostly hardware person, I need some help. The systems run Windows 7. Thank you
  4. Are you able to connect to the network at all over Wireless?
  5. Have you tried Rebooting the Nighthawk?
  6. Hello, What is the make and the model of the router? Who is your ISP? What devices are you trying to connect to the router?
  7. The CHEAPEST solution I have found for PLA is to apply a light coat of Elmers Washable Glue to the printbed and let it dry. The BEST solution I have used is to get some blue masking tape and lay it down carefully. Keep in mind, the masking tape won't be the best option if you are using a heated printbed.
  8. I am talking about a central air vent that connects to the central air in your house.
  9. Does the room with the server have a air vent in it? If so, look online for a "Ductwork Air Register Booster." If not, does the room have a window? Look for a portable air conditioner unit. If neither of these are an option, maybe try adding a exhaust fan to the room. It will be able to pull air under the door while pulling the hot air outside.
  10. Hello! My company unfortunately runs off multiple external hard drives. Every person gets one, they all have the same files, along with some other per drive. I am looking for a effective way to Password Protect the drive to prevent anyone without the password to be able to use the Hard Drive. I would like it to prompt me to enter the password for the drive the minute I plug it into a laptop. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
  11. I am in need of a simple software to keep Inventory of several items. It just needs to be a in/out with different users. Bar code reader is a plus.
  12. Absolutely great point! Unless you get lucky and find some guy just needing cash for medical reasons (cough***cough***drugs***cough***cough) you are out of luck in that price range for a gaming laptop. If you are lucky, you might be able to find a laptop in that price range that could run some games. Being the person I am, I found my Gaming Laptop (Asus G75VW) for $35 because the owner didn't know what was wrong with it. I replaced the HDD and the GPU fan and now in business. But, finding these deals are extremely rare.
  13. Gaming laptops are unfortunately not cheap. Depending on where you live, have you checked Craigslist, or the local Buy/Sell/Trade pages on Facebook? If those are both not an option, you would have to save/earn some cash. Unfortunately, you have to work to earn money. Linus actually made a couple videos on how to do this (Look below). When I was your age(12), I mowed 4 yards, $20 a yard, every 12 days per yard. At the end of the season, I was able to purchase the parts for my ATV while still being able to take out a few bucks for a soda or candy bar. Depending on where you are located, the options below may not be an option. Try walking some of your neighbors dogs or watering plants. Talk to who you live with to see if you could get an allowance for some chores. Ask for cash for your Birthday or other holidays instead of presents (you may need to return the item to get the cash.) 14. Their I.T. team won't let me near the config of their system, otherwise I would just set us up a SSID with the name hidden.
  15. Hello! I have had my Alienware M11x R2 for several years. My battery has since died, and I use this laptop as my daily driver. Anybody know any cheaper replacements for this battery? I bought a replacement from Easy&Fine, and it held a charge, but the computer wouldn't recognize it or use it. Thank you everyone! Hunter
