  1. I don't know if makes a difference but the sound stops from time to time. When the sound starts, tilting the case stops the noise.
  2. I've been hearing a rattling noise from 2 psu's so far. A Seasonic 550 S12G that went bad and starting to turn off randomly which I guess has nothing to do with the sound with the fan. I put a Corsair CX430M as a temporary replacement and started to hear that sound which is very annoying. (Until I buy a new PSU i'm not gaming. I see in the UPS that the power consumption doesn't go above 100W so I think I'm good for my daily tasks) It might be that the fan is going bad BUT this is what happens: If I tilt the PC case the noise stops! Is that related to a fan going bad? Or just maybe something that is touching the fan. (I have tried to look for something without opening PSU but didn't find anything.) Could it be the placement of the PSU with fan facing bottom the cause?
  3. haha yeah, I knew about the panel being easy to scratch so I didn't took off the protection until I was done! Now I remember that in some other topic you told me you had a glass panel. Actually I want to buy the 100% cast acrylic panel that mnpctech makes for this case. It is supposed to be more clear and harder to scratch... I hope...
  4. Thanks man! Yeah the white one is almost double the $$ The air cooling is SO SILENT in this case!! Going for 2 140mm as intake was a good choice. It is the Cryorig H7 it is 140mm in height, and saw great reviews, $35 bucks so I went with it Those Be Quiet are very good looking!
  5. Ubuntu(trusty tahr) as day to day but running debian(jessie) boxes on vagrant/virtualbox for development Thanks!
  6. SPECS: CASE: NZXT S340 White CPU: intel i7-4790 MOBO: Asus Sabertooth Z87 RAM: HyperX Fury White 16GB DDR3 GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC 4GB PSU: Seasonic S12G 550 Air Cooling: CPU: Cryorig H7 CASE: 2 140mm Akasa Apache Black + NZXT included fans. Accesories: Darkside RGB LED Strip Silverstone Tek Sleeved Extensions Mods: Painted motherboard's thermal armor with DupliColor Vinyl & Fabric spray paint The purpose of this Build is to replace a laptop I was using for programming. I don't need that much but I wanted to be enough if I ever feel like playing a game on my free time. Now Some Pictures: Stuff arrived!! So far so good... Ready to paint the motherboard's armor Applied thin coats of paint. Leaving like 30min between coats GPU arrived! Not that hardcore but it will do just fine! Now with the GPU! Next I want to paint the backplate white... What do you think?
  7. Fans are very silent!! Air goes to the sides ant not so centralized as advertised, I don't know if that even matters there is plenty of air pushed even though it is close to a filter and closed front panel... case only has two small inlets of air one at top and one at bottom so that's why I wanted static pressure fans. I asked a guy from youtube that is doing a pwm controller with arduino, and has the tools to test this. He says "each draw around 250 mA at full throttle. They might temporarily draw a hair more while they accelerate up to speed." Here is a picture ( btw I added a carbon fiber fan sticker to hide the label )
  8. The keyboard looks super neat! And the brown switches are the cherry on the top! Design aesthetics are on point! These would complete my setup looking fine!! Thanks Guys!
  9. I'm not in from where people call 'Murica(USA) Im in America the continent, but I'm in Mexico We don't have newegg here. So that's why I asked you where were you But anyway here is another link where you can locate some stores LINK I saw some stores in Poland and Slovakia where they have in stock.
  10. Alright! Low end you mean the lowest RPM as the CPU FAN lowest is 330RPM I set it up in the BIOS to a percentage so the lowest RPM would match like ~600RPM. That would work, right? Thanks!
  11. But in the case the CPU Fan reaches its full ~1600 RPM the Akasa fans wouldn't get damaged right? They would just run at their full RPM (~1300) and that's it, right?
  12. But the fan I have the most of is the Akasa but I am using them as Case fans. Would there be any disadvantage or Would I damage the others if I use the CPU Fan(more RPM) as the one with to sense header?
  13. So how would this work? Does the splitter give the same pulses to the CPU Fan and to the rest? or does it give the rest a voltage amount %?
  14. Where are you? In Newegg they have them all in stock. At least the ones I told you. LINK The one I have is just $34.50
  15. Power to the PWM splitter is supplied by a SATA connector
