The #1 use for my iPhone's hotspot is to provide internet when our internet goes down at home.

    My internet has been down like only twice in a 3 year period of time. 

     

    But there's actually competition here.

    We use Spectrum. Internet rarely goes down, maybe once ever other month, it usually only lasts a few moments and is caused by Spectrum doing something on their end. We have Spectrum, Frontier and AT&T/DISH all operating in this area.
