  1. Trying to help a friend fix his computer. It randomly shuts down when gaming and I think I tracked it down to the TMPIN5 temp sensor on the motherboard. After playing COD:MW for about 20 mins it climbed up to 110C. Last time it crashed the temp was 107C. Nothing else is that high and even at idle this sensor is at ~65C compared to 35C on the other mobo sensors. Not sure what to do besides replacing the mobo but I want to make sure that's not a waste of money and time. Specs: Windows 10 Mobo: ASRock B360M IB-R1 i7-8600 RTX 2060 480W Power Supply 1TB HDD + 240GB SSD Screenshot of HW Monitor and HWinfo Thanks!
  2. Of course I see this 3 days after I placed an order for a Ticwatch E. Oh well, I'm sure the first watches to come out will be $300+ so I'll hopefully be able to use this until I can snag something used or under $150.
  3. The only way this makes sense from a consumer standpoint is if they managed to buy the games at a discount, lower than we would be able to get it for. But that just means they may use stolen keys resold in bulk on g2a or something.
  4. The day my Google Home Mini starts forcing ads on me is the day I unplug it forever.
  5. Which means the devs would just switch to charging for XP boosts and having laughably slow progression otherwise (see Star Wars Battlefront 2's progressions system) EA isn't going to stop, nor will Activision or Ubisoft. AAA publishers are just going to find a new method to fuck over gamers and wring them dry of every last penny. AAA gaming is dead and buried. Long live the indie dev
  6. Steamworld Dig 2 was tons of fun. It's $20 right now but it's worth it. And it may look like starbound/terraria at first but it's not. You don't explore procedurally generated worlds. You explore a well-crafted, interesting world by digging and using tons of special abilities you unlock that constantly and completely change your playstyle and travel methods. You also unlock fast travel points once you dig far down enough to find them so it minimizes back tracking and you always have new interesting areas to explore. It has a good story, beautiful art style and great attention to detail including tons of hidden areas and collectibles. I played it on switch but it's on steam too. Tons of fun.
  7. I love how he tries to get us to buy his get rich scheme ($100,000 per year GUARANTEED!!!1) right before showing us how much of a dumbass he is.
  8. You'll be happier with a headset. Less to worry about, easier and quicker to set up each time you play or need to get up for the bathroom.
  9. Thanks for the insight. Seriously considering one of those now. Especially since I'm seeing them as low as $30 on ebay.
  10. This is precisely the reason I recommend a Pebble smartwatch to people. Most people just want notifications on their wrist so they don't have to carry their phone around the house all the time. I love mine for that and for discreet notifications at work. It's also easier to glance at my watch while driving than to dig my phone out of my pocket, and it's even waterproof so I don't miss anything while in the shower/pool/beach. Best of all, all it costs to achieve this is like $15-20. The Pebble Classic is always on ebay for dirt cheap. But don't expect more than notifications, and play/pause/skip for music plus song info. For more like $50 you can get the Pebble Time which adds a color screen, a microphone for dictating texts (still can't do full calls on the watch), and a better health monitor system. And for a bit more you can get the Pebble Steel or Pebble Time Steel if you want all-metal. I honestly like the silicon bands the best though. I've been using Pebble smartwatches for years and I love them. Still not ready to drop $200+ on a full featured watch but this works great for me.
  11. I would avoid the 5x/6p due to the widespread bootloop issues. I've had it happen on my 5x and I've heard lots of stories of 6p's being hit too. The only known fix is to disable 4 out of the 8 CPU cores which obviously cripples the phone's performance. There's actually a class action lawsuit forming it's so bad. I would get a LG G6 or OnePlus https://www.androidauthority.com/nexus-6p-lawsuit-764174/
  12. Is there really nothing with a throttle and stick for less than the X52? That's $200 where I live. I'd like something closer to (or under) $100 if possible. Is the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick any good for $50?
  13. Take out the GPU and the CPU cooler if it's a big air cooled heatsink. Watercoolers are find as long as it's an AIO loop or you're very confident in your custom loop abilities.
  14. It's because cable organization literally does nothing except makes it look pretty. Also, you asked "Should He Keep Them Messy Or Not?" and we answered honestly. Teach him good cleaning habits in terms of cleaning the dust filters and spraying out the fans with compressed air every month. You can tell him it'll be easier to clean if you tidy up the cables nicely but it's not necessary, just a nice thing to do.
