  1. I think the server rack tidy up video should contain "Linus Sexy Tips" or "Bringing Sexy Back" since some of the pictures posted look really sexy.
  2. Turn off DHCP on the wireless router/make it a slave of the modem. I think the modem is now assigning IPs. http://www.voipmechanic.com/turning-off-dhcp-wireless-router.htm Make sure the router is not on 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1, the modem should have one of those.
  3. Hello, I have moved my setup across my house and have decided to use my wireless card for internet since I would need to run a long cable if I was to use ethernet. I normally have my wireless card disabled (Dunno why, never used it before today). The card is a "ASUS PCE-N15" I noticed right away that I was getting audio stutters (on YouTube, Spotify and VLC). I immediately assumed it was my GPU, so I cleaned it and re-seated it. That did not solve my problem, so I did some more digging like trying different audio jacks. I was looking up the issue on Google when I saw an article on IRQ conflicts. So I decided to check device manager and there it is, both my PCIe Wireless card and my On-Board audio were using IRQ 17. I tried to change them manually but "Windows does not detect any conflicts with this IRQ device". I know this is an issue with the wireless card because when I disable the card I get no stuttering. I have also tried using the other PCIe slot on my motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some of the system specs are MSI Krait SLI z97, nVidia GeForce 960, Intel i7-4790K
  4. I have a huge set of documents which outline how I would deal with hygiene, But in short, the padding is just velcroed on (Easily replaceable and washable) and the rest can be wiped with a huge ass packet of disinfecting wipes. As for content, there are already heaps of games which are free and paid on steam for the vive and I expect more to be out by the time we finally launch. For security/safety I was going to have the layout allowing only paying customers using the VR and staff in the areas which have the VR booths. (They would be like booths with curtains on each side in a hall) - Nathan
  5. Yeah, If I was just leasing a headset, I would totally charge like $5/hour. But there are lots of other costs involved, there is the computer to run each headset ($2000), then staff wages for assistance and admin (Which is around $18-$25/hour in Australia.) and the cost of the games if we decide to provide unlimited access to games. Our pricing model is probably not going to be finalized until we get close to launch. PS: Thanks for your input
  6. Hey all, I haven't really posted on here before, but I am starting up a business and need to do some market research before I go further... The idea is 'top secret' But it's basically it's a VR cafe or lounge... Whatever you want to call it, it simply would be a venue, which you could go and try out VR headsets before you decide to buy (Along with other services). Or you could come multiple times if you don't have a good enough computer (Or don't want to invest in a headset) and use the Vive for a few hours etc. Maybe we could even host birthday parties if we get big. Here is the survey, It is supposed to be for Australians only, but I welcome all input! http://goo.gl/forms/bs6FhKMdCi Thanks Nathan
  7. Hello, Long time lurker here, be gentle with me! I have a request for a few videos (or even a series), where you guys review laptops and do builds that are designed for Developers/Video Editors and other 'Professional' uses. Having myself been developing programs for a few years now, I now understand the need for specialized setups for certain workflows. I would also like to see some videos which are designed for 'super users', i.e. Ubuntu as a desktop/laptop OS, or using such distros as CentOS on a server etc. I feel that you could attract a whole new audience if you started videos which were designed for Developers and System Admins. I have a list on my computer (Which is at home rn) of video ideas that I came up with in the space of 5 minutes based on these topics which I can email to someone if you would like to see it. Currently I am in the market for a laptop which I can use for on the go development since I travel a lot and probably others are also! N -Also I don't know how to tag the LTT crew-
