    I have always just used the built in updater in the AMD Settings app and it has always worked perfectly fine for me. It could be a little safer to download the full package from the website and manually install it though, but I have never had a problem with the built-in updater.

    Cool, going for the G3 then.  Just verifying that this is not another NEX unit.  I cannot find anything online saying that it is.
    Thank you for the heads up and the thread link.  I am verifying with Asrock if I can flash the motherboard's bios without a CPU.
