IBM is buying Red Hat for 34 billion dollars.

Let's hope it doesn't change things for the worse.

    Jeepers.  Thats something.  Whats with the over evaluation and why leverage virtually your entire worth on 1 purchase.

    Forget hoping that things don't change, they'd better have big plans that pan out.

    @MoonSpot about 1/4 their worth but that's about as big as they can afford to purchase, imo it's what makes me so worried about it. They made a BIG gamble and theyll need to milk it. They'll tell customers and employees nothing will change, which will be true- for about a year. The IBM way.

    @SyntaxvgmRight, sorry.  Saw a crazy amount of money and had Disney/Fox flashbacks of 70+billion.  Numbers are konfuzzing for loopy brains.

    But as you said, it doesn't change that it puts them in a hard way, with a need to get that and more back in, what; 5-7years?....Somehow.  Good luck.  Better have plans on plans.
