  1. Damn, people are reacting Holy crap, this is mental, people are acting like you guys kidnapped their family pet and murdered it in front of them smh
  2. Glad to see more "production company" stuff from you guys, it's really been interesting the last year or so (?) to watch the direction you guys have moved in. The TV-like content has honestly had me watching a lot more than I used to. While the reviews are nice, a lot of it wasn't necessarily something I was willing to sit down and watch on my couch or when I'm hanging out with friends. When you guys released "Whole Room Watercooling" I was suddenly able to watch tech related stuff with my friends and family, who don't really care about computer hardware, and watch your content on our TV, because it was good entertainment. I absolutely love the direction you guys have gone, and can't wait to see what comes in the future, especially with Nerd Sports. Should be interesting. Best of luck!
  3. I'd love a new one for my laptop since it doesn't have any storage and runs off of a flash drive.
  4. Oooooh boy does that look nice. I've got a friend with access to some hardcore manufacturing stuff so I'll see if he can cut me something and maybe "engrave" it with a cnc machine.
  5. Yep. I'm thinking about buying some black acrylic and getting the name Ouranos lasered into the shroud.
  6. It was also mostly built in January of last year, so prices reflect that. RAM was still $88.99 for 8GB of 1866 vs the $40 it is now, but the 290X was only $335 at that point. CPU was $200, Mobo was $105.99, cooler was $80 (bought this past month), SSD and HDD were $45 a piece, and PSU was $70.
  7. Thanks man, doing his rig inspired me to redo the cable management in mine.
  8. A buddy of mine commissioned me to build this for him around the time of his birthday, and I figured I'd share it here. MSI Gaming 5 Z97 i5 4690k at 4.2GHz 1.1V 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133MHz 9-9-9-24 Corsair H80i GT Gigabyte R9 290X at 1100/1500 +25mV Corsair CX850M NZXT H440 Red/Black Samsung 850 Evo 120GB WD Blue 1TB Total Cost: $1067.98 He definitely is enjoying it, and it works great in all the games he plays.
  9. Forum ID: theatomicbrainfart Build Title: Ouranos Thread URL: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/545021-corsair-780t-ouranos/ Description: X99 build that I did to better do my school work, get better at overclocking, and game on.
  10. Alright, so, I finished this build in late December, but I've been fine tuning my overclock ever since because I use this machine for school work which is mostly audio and video editing. Yes I could have bought some stuff for cheaper, but it's also about the look to me. So, In the build I've got: i7 5820k @ 4.5GHz (4GHz Uncore) running at 1.35V 4x8GB kit of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 running at 2666mhz 13-13-13-32 timings Sabertooth X99 Sapphire Nitro R9 390 at 1175/1725 with +100mV 120GB Sandisk SSDPlus, 1TB WD Red, 3TB WD Red, 1TB Seagate SHDD Corsair H100iGTX w/ 4x 3000RPM Industrial Noctua NF-F12 in Push/Pull 2 Noctua NF-F12's as intakes Corsair AF120 Silent Edition exhaust Corsair CX850M (did some research, it's got fairly high quality parts, and it was only $80 on sale) Corsair 780T All in all, I love this build and it's a stellar performer. The reason my CPU voltage is at 1.35V is, well, weird. The system withstood a 36hr Prime95 test with no failures, yet crashed 30 minutes into playing a heist in GTAV. I had to raise it to 1.35V before it stopped crashing. Fortunately the Industrial NF-F12s do a great job at keeping the radiator cool enough to have a CPU temp of 63C at load. While it does get a bit loud, it's worth it for the temps. Here's my Firestrike score compared to stock: http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/7262246/fs/7262189
  11. I would love to get my grandparents this desktop. The biggest reason for this is their current desktop is a Pentium E2140, and 1GB of RAM running Vista. This thing slows to a crawl even trying to access Facebook, but they can't really afford a new one. Good luck everyone, and thanks LMG crew.
