  1. Great, thanks for your help. I'm still going to shop around for a bit, but this does seem like my current front runner.
  2. Sure. I'm not too familiar with VA panels, but from what I understood they're a decent alternative to IPS panels. So they provide higher contrast compared to IPS? Any idea what the overclocking potential is with these panels? Do they have a decent freesync range?
  3. Exactly, thanks for understanding me. ;D
  4. Just to clarify, Not planning on doing dual monitor gaming. It'd be more for having my game on one monitor, and other things like Twitch/Youtube/Netflix on the other. I just really would prefer my monitors to match.
  5. Hi guys, I'm planning to do a decent RX480 build once I receive my tax return. As attractive as Ultrawide displays are, I think I'd prefer to have two 1080p monitors instead. There are a few budget options that I've found and are considering. The two main requirements that I was looking for were Freesync, and IPS. Obviously it's difficult to find any decent affordable options with both of these. I was also trying to find anything with a >60Hz refresh rate, but that's going to heavily drive up costs along with the other requirements that I had. So, because of my budget I've been trying to make some compromises, and I'd enjoy the input from the community. Here's what I've found, but please include any suggestions. Samsung C22F390 22" ($129 USD) - 1920x1080 - 60Hz - VA Panel (I hear that this produces similar color to IPS, but please let me know of your experiences.) - FREESYNC (One of the main focuses here!) - Vesa Mountable (Huge plus, as I'd like to get a dual monitor arm.) Pro: Freesync, Vesa Mounting Con: 60Hz, VA Panel Asus VP239H-P 23" ($129 USD) - 1920x1080 - 75Hz (Newegg and BHP seem to suggest that this monitor can be 75Hz refresh rate.) - IPS Panel (Highly Preferable panel type) - Vesa Mountable Pro: 75Hz, IPS, Vesa Mounting Con: No Freesync Asus VG245H 24" ($189 USD) -1920x1080 - 75Hz - TN Panel (Gross, but I've heard that Asus make some of the best color producing TN Panels.) - FREESYNC - Vesa Mountable Pro: Freesync, 75Hz, Vesa Mounting Con: TN Panel Lenovo LI2364D 23" ($115 USD) - 1920x1080 - 75Hz - IPS - Freesync? (Some places suggest that it is Freesync, and other websites do not list that feature for it?) Pro: Freesync?, 75Hz, IPS Con: No Vesa, May be questionable panel quality.... Again, feel free to drop me any suggestions, especially if I missed anything. (United States merchants only please.)
  6. If you're looking for strictly earbuds with a detachable cable, about the only pair that I've seen are the MEE audio M6 PRO. If you're open to using on/over ear headphones, the Monoprice 108323 are a great budget option with a detachable cable.
  7. I've been searching around for a nice pair of headphones myself, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I would really would like to get HD 598 CS or ATH-M50x, but I don't know if I can drop that much change. Based off of my personal research, the Audio Technica ATH-m40x look like a great option at your ~£70 price point (currently £77 on Amazon.) Keep in mind that these are known to have a flat, "reference" sound, So they won't be extra bassy. Edit: These are closed back, I just noticed that you were preferring open back in your most recent comment. These are still a solid option at this price point though.
  8. I'm looking for a wireless keyboard to go with my G602. I'd consider paying extra if anyone could find an affordable wireless mechanical. I'd prefer laptop style keys over membrane keys, and I have an appreciation for low profile and sleek style. Num pad is preferred. Hit me with any suggestions you have.
  9. I wanted a nice extended mouse mat on the cheap, so I did some looking around. I found the Vipamz Extended XXXL (36"x12") with nice reviews and decided to try it for a whopping $12. I don't regret it one bit. It has a nice surface with stitched edges that stays clean but can be machine washed if need be. You can easily fit a full sized keyboard with plenty of extra mouse space as well. For $12 USD and being Prime eligible, you can't lose here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0199GE7RC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. No dual-band AC, what is this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BUSDVBQ/ref=psdc_300189_t1_B00JZFG6QS "1.75Gbps total available bandwith, which includes 450Mbps at 2.4GHz and 1300Mbps at 5GHz" Does it use only AC for the 5GHz band and N for the 2.4GHz or something?
  11. I only need a router. The ISP that I'll have in my new place provides a mandatory modem.
  12. Fair enough. Anyone have other suggestions? I'd like to have a few tips to go off of before I pull the trigger on any certain one.
  13. Do you have any experiences with TP-Link routers? I was looking at a few of them, but I was hesitant as I've never used one. Reputable? Good quality?
  14. I'll be moving into an apartment in a few days, and need to buy a new router. I've got a budget of around $75 USD, and I'd like to get something Dual-Band AC. But, if I had to settle for Dual-Band N or Single-Band AC I could live with it. I'll either go in store at Best Buy after work, or order the router on Amazon. Please give me any suggestions for a nice quality router or brands you think I should avoid.
  15. My current setup looks like this: Logitech G602 Mouse Vipamz Extended (36"x12") Mouse Pad August EP650 Bluetooth Headphones Logitech K120 Old Membrane Keyboard This Autore mechanical keyboard would be a great replacement for my shitty old membrane keyboard.
