  1. seeing you have the budget why not go custom liquid cooling to keep that threadripper chilled? seeing as you'll be using it for long durations with no cooldown periods it seems like having 2 radiators might help with cooling and keeping the CPU efficient?
  2. Hi, I got a 4tb hdd and am not too sure on how i should transfer all of my data from the 1tb hdds to my big 4tb hdd without destroying my paths for games like steam or rockstar
  3. Thanks all for the help! how does your 5800x hold up with your 120mm AIO?
  4. Hows that possible?? motherboards before 5th (ish) gen use ddr3 ram, ddr4 wouldn't work on them
  5. So its in your budget, what games does your brother play? EDIT: to upgrade your CPU you will need to upgrade your ram also as its DDR3 instead of DDR4
  6. If you could fit it in your budget then I would build a new pc, however to keep the cost a bit lower you could go with slightly older generation pieces as it might be less efficient upgrading this, thats why i'm doing a big upgrade from my 4th gen i7
  7. Hi, I want to get a HDD that has 256mb of cache, 7200rpm and the most amount of storage for around £150 but I don't really know what the difference is between NAS, enterprise, PRO NAS etc. What should I get for general gaming use with small amounts of storage transfer for my requirements? Thanks
  8. What are the major differences between the 550 and 570? I thought the 570 has the best parts available, I want that because this CPU is the last AM4 model so I want to have lots of choices for upgrades
  9. Hi all! What do you think the best mobo would be which would support some decent overclocking (beginner to hobbyist level) with PCIe 4.0 for down the line and m.2 gen 4 slots and bios can be flashed as I dont have an old ryzen. my budget is around £200 with a bit of leeway. I'm currently looking at this but anything better in the same price range would be great! https://www.morecomputers.com/a?pid=MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI-XPX>>MSI&referer=PCPart thanks for your time and efforts
  10. Me with my macbook air reaching 95C while watching videos:
  11. Thats what I thought. You're really best off going with 2 3090s because it would probably perform the same or even better than 4 titans because of optimisation. Linus the god did a video on 2 SLI 3090s and I think there wasn't a great difference.
  12. If you're not trolling, if he is just playing games you might be better off going with a 3k rig. especially looking at how powerful parts have become, the 3k rig would probably be almost as powerful as that because games aren't optimised for that Edit: Didn't notice the mining part, sorry.
  13. I agree with @tikker, the 5000 series is a good choice (I'll be going with it) and will definitely last longer than 3 years! I have had my i7 4790 for 5 years and am doing an upgrade for it now.
  14. How long are you hoping for it to last and what will you be using it for?
  15. Sorry, they were airdropped to my laptop and were put into HEIC. This should work now
  16. Heres an update, I have attached some pics of my utilisation of RDR2 on 1080p high settings. IMG_5076.HEIC IMG_5078_2.HEIC IMG_5079.HEIC
  17. Hi, I have a 1080 Ti for a 1080p monitor, yes, I know don't remind me. Would I gain even more performance from the card if I have 2 HDMI cables plugged into the monitor? Thanks
  18. Well zen 3 is around the corner so i'd wait for that but I have heard that the i5 10600k is really solid for gaming and outperforms all ryzen CPUs. Perhaps I should wait for zen 3's benchmarks?
