  1. Well... If it was only trying to pull 75w the motherboard would supply enough power so it would be safe to assume its going for 84w and from the description on that riser it sounds like its supplementing with the molex so it should work out
  2. That's weird it has 84w on the Canadian site and 75w on the US site Radeon-RX-460-2G-OC_ca.pdf Radeon-RX-460-2G-OC_us.pdf
  3. Could I get a picture of the box where it says 70w it's possible there are 2 versions of the card and I'm looking at the wrong one
  4. I haven't personally used one before but if it uses power from both the slot and the molex then there will definitely be enough power and over that distance it shouldn't matter if the riser is shielded or not but I wouldn't recommend using multiples of them the card draws 84w and the pci-e slot can only supply 75w which would cause the problems you were seeing
  5. https://www.amazon.com/Powered-Flexible-Extender-Bitcoin-Mining/dp/B00CQB1RIU the 4 pin on the motherboard is for the CPU
  6. if you have an old system lying around it would always be cheaper to use that though the feature set wouldn't always be quite up to par
  7. just putting holes with the 120mm fan spacing would allow you to use one of those brackets which could potentially solve your concerns
  8. i would probably go for the i5 and save a few bucks but its definitely a good system
  9. i had a friend test an almost identical setup with a different psu and he ran into power issues what it seems to be is the card trying to draw more power than the 24 pin connector could supply the card has no pci-e power connectors and gets all its power from the slot so he solved it by grabbing a powered pci-e extender
  10. i would recomend a new psu maybe if you have a friend that has a better one try that out and see if thats the problem psus above 600w from evga should work and will be cheapish
  11. I would love to have one of these because I have a very small desk and i had to put my current computer on the floor which I don't like to do
