  1. My setup is in the bedroom. So when im playing, sometimes during the night. I dont want the monitors to turn on to disturb my girlfriend. Plus keeping the power bill down where i can is helpful because of the high electrical bills in Sweden right now. I also think the reason why is a little outside the topic. Just mainly trying to discuss ideas of this "problem" for future reference and if someone else has the same need in the future for whatever reason. My reason may not really be a reason but im someone who likes to solve and discuss stuff like this. Its fun to solve very small problems.
  2. Well I am in the hospital quite alot so rely on SteamLink to play games there. I dont want me using the pc remotely to turn the screens on, so i turn them off when i leave and turn them on when i come back. I want to get maybe 1 or 2 more monitors in the future so pressing every buttun is kinda frustrating. Especially when the action misalignes the monitors on the monitor arms slightly each time.
  3. Hello, I have recently overhaulf my setup from a single ultrawide to 2 27 inch monitors on monitor arms. The question regarding this is solutions for powering the monitors on and of without having to push each monitors power button individually. I've come up with 2 ideas so far. 1. I remember there being an option on my windows 10 laptop that made the power button control the screen instead of the system power. I don't have a laptop anymore and I can't find the option on my windows 11 desktop. 2. The second idea is to plug the monitors power cable to a smart wall plug or simular. I have done some testing and find that my monitors remember their power state when being unplugged. For example, if they are powered on and i disconnect the power cable for a couple of minutes and then connect them again the monitors turn on right away without pushing the power button. This solution can be expensive tho and unreliable because of the wifi connection needed for these smart power plugs. I'm looking for more ideas of how to do this in the simplest way. The ideal option would be 1 button you can place under the table that controlls multiple monitors power buttons. But dont know if this is possible without disassembling the monitors and wiring the connections together.
  4. An update: I think I have solved the problem. I think the cause was NZXT's CAM software. Not the software itself tho. every time cam started with windows it also started"CAMFPS.exe". this part of the program didnt respond but was running. When I shut down that app the problam dissapeard. I can still have CAM open and in the background but CAMFPS.exe was the cause in this case.
  5. i have only used windows own av and that has been good so far... this issue happend about 1 day ago. i got the keybord to work fine for a period after cutting the power to the psu whn the pc was running, i had it off for a while and then started the pc again and the keyboard worked without issues. earlier today i did the sfc scannow in safe mode and after restarting the pc worked fine but the next time i restarted the problem was back again. during this time i have installed an run a deep scan with Avast and malewarebytes aswell as some CCleaner.
  6. in event viewer i can se an error level saying Application Hang and when i open it, it says "program" stopped interacting with windows and was closed.
  7. i have never used that before. what should i look for in that app?
  8. i have tried that and the keybord works there. i did a system file scan with CMD with the command sfc /scannow
  9. Hello wonderfull LTT Forums! I have a big problem! If i am in an application, not windows specific but any program. If I enter any type of keyboard input the program freezes and crashes. I can wait for the program to continue but that never works. I dont know at all what could be causing this problem. The wierd thing is that if i use the software keyboard built in to windows 10 the same thing happens. even if my corsair strafe is disconnected. anyone knows what is going on? or a solution? My windows build is "Build 17134.rs4_release.180410-1804"
  10. no im not. im only using the port at the back of my pc. the thing is tho, i have the Symphonized Wraith v2 as my daily driver and they work just fine. and i also have a really old sound system conected with some big speakers (Pioneer XD-J215M) and this also works fine (the Wraith headphones is connected to the pc)
  11. no i have not used them on this system before (system in my signature) but i tried them on my phone and the same problem occurson my galaxy s7 phone and later im going to try them on my laptop. EDIT: last time i used them was on an old panasonic box tv I have the asus version of realtek audio and the only setting i have changed ever is the setting for if you are using headphones or speakers. it is set to over ear/studio headphones.
  12. Hello LTT Forums! I just found an old pair of headphones I used to use about 5 years ago. The Philips SBC HP890.Last times I used them they sounded fine from what i can remember. I pluged them into my pc with an ASUS z170-A MB to test them and found that they sound broken. The sound sounds broken and muffled and the base is just weird. The weird part is tho when i played around with the Realtek HD Audio program and changed the LR slider to eather L or R. the sound sounded very close to normal. ther was still a little bit of destortion but nothing major. All in all I could enjoy the music Im just wondering why this may be? if someone knows audio I would like an awnser to this
