  1. Just finshed Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen and Rinne no Lagrange. I feel so burned out now as watching two 24 episode animes in a row hurts. But the 2 anime's tones are so different from each other it made my brain all confused.
  2. Any Need For Speed soundtracks from Need for Speed (2010) onwards. (Also try to find the uncensored versions as the games were rated T so they had to put the clean versions of the songs in the game)
  3. Yup, pain in the butt. Had to tear my wife's custom water loop (with hard tubes to make it worst) just to use her cpu to upgrade a freaking bios. #rip This is why the bios flash back option is so good, you don't even need a cpu to change the bios version.
  4. I personally use a ONKYO HA200 which gives nice sound and it's a dac + amp but it's also the most expensive one listed in this thread so far. I think Teac HA-P50 is actually the same Dac/amp but just a rebrand (or maybe the other way around?) and might be cheaper.
  5. Well, that makes your life easy then, I had to borrow a 5820k to update my bios which was a pain in the butt.
  6. Booze helps (if your of legal drinking age lol)
  7. Well, generally you want some headroom on your PSU as your components don't draw a constant wattage and you have to account for spikes in power draw. eg. the Rx 480 pulls an avg of 164w but have been measured to spike to nearly 300w. Also PSUs degrade over time so cutting too close to what your system pull would cause problem the future such as system stability. Of course I'm not telling the OP to buy a 1000w PSU or anything thing but if a 500w psu only cost 10 dollars more than a 400w one then why not just get the higher capacity for reassurance?
  8. Well, any overclocks will reduce your cpu's life (Or any component in the matter) but the cpu will still last the whole build's life time or even longer (as long as the voltage isn't something insane).
  9. Have you try reinstalling the pump? Also try putting a little more mounting pressure as sometimes the cpu heatspreader isn't making full contact with the cold plate and also try setting your pump at full speed (if it's not).
  10. Yup, it just hooks on the edge of the keycap and you just pull. But with some keyboards be careful around the long keys like the space, shift and enter as those keys have a stabilizing bar underneath them that could snap if you pull it too far out. (You would have to unhook the bars first.)
  11. z170 Deluxe with a high quality external Amp/Dac combo if you need the audio quality. in terms of overclocking they will perform the same until you get to something more exotic like liquid nitrogen or phase change.
  12. As long as it's DDR4, can't see why it wouldn't work.
  13. I don't know, depends on if the op is on a budget or not. If not, the op might as well go for the 1080 as that would give the most performance possible. But on a budget the op can choose between the 1070 and the 980ti. Depending on how much is the price difference is between the 2 cards are where the op lives, it might matter to the op if the increase of performance is worth it or not.
  14. HardwareCanucks did a video where he pitted the 1080 vs the 980ti and when it comes to video production, there is almost no difference between the 2. And since the 1070 is a cut down version of the 1080, I'm just going to assuming it's slower, even if it's ever so slightly. (Tho the 1080 does crush it in games)
  15. A 980ti would also be a good choose for the OP if he is just using it for the cuda, as the 980ti have more cuda cores then the 1070.
  16. The question is does it support it out of the box as sometimes like my msi board, it supports it, but you need to get the newest bios so it would actually post. But with the Asus board its pretty easy with the bios flash back.
  17. The i7 6800k is faster clock for clock vs the i7 5820 due to the i7 6800k having a higher ipc (by about 10-15%). So if you win the silicon lottery and get a golden i7 6800k that can hit 4.4 - 4.5ghz it will out perform the 5820k. But the cpus do have a 50 dollar difference if that matters at all. Also if you do decide to go with the 6800k you will have to update the bios (unless it's labeled on the box it will support the new broadwell-e). And one final note is that if you plan to overclock at all you should invest in a AIO as they tend to get hot as you pump voltage into it.
  18. That looks like an OSD for your GPU, check your Radeon settings to make sure you didn't turn it on by accident. (Personally I would leave it on so I can monitor my GPU temps plus it gives a fps counter.)
  19. For your monitor to display the full 144hz you need to use ether Displayport or a Dual link DVI cable. (I'm assuming the monitor and gpu you have won't have HDMI 2.0)
  20. Dota 2 is pretty easy to run, you could probably get a RX 480 or GTX 1060 depending on which one is cheaper for you and still be able to play triple A games at 60fps.
  21. Also most Canadian computer stores usually have free shipping or you can pickup in a store near you, so you can take shipping out of the equation most of the time. (Unless your in Quebec or the northern territories.)
  22. Fine, even if he does go himself he would still have to pay for conversion plus duty (Just found out that you have to pay duty on everything that is not marked "Made in canada, USA or mexico". And not to mention he would have to pay for the gas to actually get to boarder so at that point it would probably be easier (and cheaper) to just wait for a package at his house.
  23. It's pretty hard to find a full RGB mechanical keyboard for less then 100CAD. And TBH I found that mechanical keyboards gotten cheaper for us over the years as when I got mine it was almost 200$ (3-4 years ago and not including 13% tax). I can probably get the same one with the same specs for about half the price now. Not worth right now, as our dollar is quite weak right now plus there is going to be duty (I'm assuming) Unless this friend physically delivers it to him.
  24. Well, it depends on your budget. If you still want to overclock you probably would want a i5-6600k or i7-6700k with a z170 board. In canada the skylake and devil canyon boards and cpus cost almost the same. But if you switch to the new skylake you also have to get DDR4 ram they don't support DDR3 anymore. Sidenote: Also chrome is a butt to run, takes up 16gb of my ram, so getting more ram might help to o-o
  25. Does it have to be brand name, or use cherry switches? If not you could probably go with something like this https://www.amazon.ca/Mengmoda-Illuminated-Adjustable-Colorful-Mechanical/dp/B01D4FIFHW/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1469360027&sr=1-8&keywords=rgb+mechanical+keyboard Or if you want something that is more reputable http://www.ncix.com/detail/logitech-g410-atlas-spectrum-rgb-d8-121078.htm or http://www.ncix.com/detail/corsair-gaming-k70-rgb-mechanical-37-133125.htm
