  1. From the gameplay video i saw on Xbox, the zombies flying when shot is normal. I truly don't know why they said the game was capped at 30fps and then went on to show the game running uncapped and telling that it has no issues. I guess some of the backlash made them fix it? idk. The rest of the port seems pretty solid, tons of graphical options and it looks like the kb/m was well taken into consideration (rebindable keys, individual keys for inventory slot, individual keys for abilities). Now the only thing that is left to see is how optimized the game is and if the game has mouse smoothing/acceleration.
  2. A community manager for Capcom posted something on the Steam forum addressing Dead Rising 3 at 60fps. Pretty much running at 60fps should not cause any issue if you have the rig to run it. He also posted 2 videos showing the game running at 60fps and you can download them here: https://mega.co.nz/#F!G1wXgZAC!aJtEBsc92rCl6dRwb3f31w https://mega.co.nz/#F!DkIRRI4b!7sunyPNNiXgCE8hZXN5FKw One of the video also shows the option menu. The graphical menu looks pretty good with a lot of option and the game as fully rebindable keys but it is still unclear if it will play well with kb/m. To me it seems as though they didn't want to test 60fps while porting the game and left it at 30fps with an option to uncap the game (I am still not clear if the uncap function is already in the game) while clearing their hand of any issue that 60fps may cause. Here is a link to the thread http://steamcommunity.com/app/265550/discussions/0/522730535829776687/#p6 The released date for the game is also September 5th, while technically still summer I don't think anyone considers it part of summer.
  3. Prey 2 the way it was shown in that video is no more according to Human Head devs. Leaked email back in August of last year showed that the game was handed over to Arkhane Studios (Dishonored) and that they rebooted the whole game. The game is supposed to be a spiritual successor to System Shock 2 now, not a intergalactic bounty hunter unfortunately.
  4. So 2 reviewers gives it a low score (60, Joystiq and Eurogamer) and you agree with this score from watching videos (not playing the game) so they are right, while the multitude of other reviewers that gave it a 7.5 or above are just paid off? You cannot fully judge a game from watching videos and at no point should you tell people not to buy a game just because you think it does not look good or fun while you haven't played said game. You know what it is not the best looking game out there but it looks good, even TB video of the game looks much worst than the game being played. It does have some low texture here and there, mostly on walls, but as a whole it looks good. The game is fun, the story is engaging, the voice acting is good and the game is very atmospheric. The only thing I would say right now to people is to hold off on buying the game until the performance issues are fixed. AMD cards are having a ton of issues with the game and as well as Nvidia (i am using 337.81 and still having issues). On my 770 I was hovering over 30 fps on ultra until it just fixed itself and now I have a steady 60. I had to turn on the option they call "VT Compress" which compresses the textures to be able to play it normally without micro stutters. Until those are fixed, I cannot recommend the game on the basis that it may or may not work. However the game is extremely fun and if you are a fan of the series, a fan of fps with a side of old school run and gun, grab it when everything is fixed.
  5. I used to use metro for steam but now use his other skin called Futuro. Its still in alpha but I like it.
  6. Depends of the day really. Most of the time FPS/RTS/some RPGs are played with kb/m and then the rest of the games are with a controller (racing, platformers, tps). If I am tired and just want to relax I will play fps games with a controller as well.
  7. its from the creative director of Watch Dogs who said: "Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number. All those numbers are valid aspects of making games." or PR talk to downplay the fact that current console cannot play most of the games coming out at 1080p 60fps for now (maybe never?). Its pretty much just a way of appeasing the console masses.
  8. I am waiting to see more gameplay and try it out myself. Graphics can only push a game so far, yes it will be the thing that grabs your attention, it will add to the atmosphere but if the gameplay is bad or mediocre its not gonna be a fun experience. Gameplay will always be a superior metric than graphics.
  9. Transformers war for cybertron 8/10 Great game. It is extremely fun and if you are a fan of Transformers you should definitely try it. The last mission is pretty epic too.
  10. I don't know why but I thought this had already been announced that it was delayed to Holiday 2015. It makes sense thought, Ubisoft has a very busy holiday season (AC Unity, FC4)
  11. You know what companies won't stop until they bleed the population dry and the worst thing in all this, the people put in place to defend that population a.k.a the government is the one that allows and mandate rules that allows this sickening exploitation.
  12. Physical copies are Up lay only. Not steam
  13. I see, I only did a search in the PC thread. Close it down then.
  14. Today Ubisoft confirmed the rumors about Far Cry 4. The game will be set in the Himalayas and is suppose to be pushing the envelop (whatever that means). It will feature a despotic king as the antagonist, have a "vast array of weapons", vehicles and animals. The game is slated to be released Nov 18 in NA and 21 in the Euro zone. We should get more info on the game during E3. For more info http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/05/15/far-cry-4-release-date/ Personally I am quite stocked for this one, Far cry 3 and Blood Dragon were incredible.
  15. I think the thing about review is that you should always read them rather than look at the score only because of what reviews are nowadays, an opinion piece rather than a critic with some opinion. Also while IGN is pretty much an advertising site which helps if you want to look at footage, many other site still are trustworthy when it comes to reviews (Giantbomb, RPS for example). As for Watch Dogs hype, its a big budget game that is pretty much the first multiplatform open world game that is suppose to be pushing the envelop. Its a big risk for Ubisoft so they will make sure people hear a ton about it. As for the customers, it seems the marketing resounded with them and got them in a hyped state. Come May 27th we will see how it holds up. My bet is that it will be in the low 80s high 70s. It will be a fun game with some flaws that they probably going to fix comes Watch Dogs 2.
