  1. I have a custom loop with 3 radiators (360,360,420) and a d5 pump running at 80% and the 7900xtx hotspot stays at around 95-100 C with gpu temp around 57C when running PalWorld on max settings ultrawide. Is that normal? The water temperature is 39C according to the sensor I have on the loop Ambient temperature 22C
  2. hahaha that's Canadian summer hopefully it will get a bit better soon, my GPU has an undervolt to 1.135 and the cpu -30 all cores PBO
  3. So I just completed a custom loop on a Corsair 7000D airflow with the following loop: D5 pump, 360mm rad, 420mm rad, 7900XTX and 5800X3D However after 1hr on microsoft flight sim I got these temperatures that seem high to me (mostly gpu): Ambient temp 29C Water temp 41C Pump speed 4850 RPM CPU 65C GPU Hotspot 81C GPU 57C I'm pretty sure that the paste was well spread since I used the KPX and used the spreader to make sure it was done correctly on both the cpu and gpu, all the fans are at 100% and the radiators are warm to the touch
  4. That's expected for sure thats a 50% increase so not sure about your logic there
  5. that is my worry because if I factor an upgrade to cpu,mb and ram that option became way more expensive also.
  6. For gaming in ultrawide 3440x1440 180hz monitor, is the difference of 670 CAD worth to upgrade to 4090? I play a lot of games from AAA to indie. But it will be only for gaming use. Also could my CPU be a bottleneck for either? I have a 5800x
  7. Sorry for the late reply I had no access to my PC on the weekend
  8. I think I got ripped off since this is a HDD speed
  9. It's a chinese SSD, the internet is 1.5Gbps and if I cancel and change to another SSD it goes pretty fast Not sure what you mean, I'm not running any tests while downloading
  10. I recently bought a 1TB sata SSD and when I'm downloading a game it gets really slow with sometimes 20s response time. what could be the issue?
  11. Yes that is true, I completely forgot about that which is a very good point, noise I don't count since either will be on a custom loop, but less heat is awesome in the summer
  12. My main pros for each that I can think of would be: 4080: Better drivers, better RTX, less power ( Canada prices are not as bad as EU but long term can make a difference) 7900: Maybe it will age better like the previous gen and be better than 4080 long term, it's not nvidia. The last time I had AMD was dual R9 290x and it was fine from what I remember, currently I have the 3080 and no issues there also
