AMD Is re-branding there Radeon Cards from r9 290 to r9 390 and r9 290x to r9 390x only benifit in this change is HBM Memory from GDDR5. Time to see what AMD have under there selves at the E3 conference

    300 series is all rebrands, no new chips and no HBM, though there might be improvements.

    There have been some rumours as to whether they might not have used a fully featured Hawaii, and we already know they didn't use a fully featured Tonga on the R9 285.

    But yeah, improvements will be improvements in yield, at best it'll be what we had GTX 480 -> GTX 580 (more cores and better OC) and at worst what we had GTX 680 -> GTX 770 (slightly higher memory clock).

    HBM will only be on the Fury and Fury X cards that should be announced at the E3 conference.
