Need a Storage Solution for myself

I was looking for something more DIY! Like getting a SuperMicro Server with a Controller Server that i create using some general hardware like xeons and SuperMicro server boards so that i have full control over it in the near future. -
Need a Storage Solution for myself

the reason why i am trying to stay at 4TB is because i want the pool to have a lot of redundancy. I wanted to setup 11 different Z Pools with Raid Z2 config which will allow me to get redundancy of upto 2 HDD per 4 HDD Z Pool. Though you have a fair point , can't deny your fact. -
Hi! I am looking for a storage server with around 44,45 drives with each drive of around 4TB. I am looking into Freenas as the operating system and Raid Z2 for software raid configuration. I looked into a JBOD server by SuperMicro but i am not sure how to setup a JBOD based server. I want to even setup an exact same backup server alongside 1 main server. The SuperMicro JBOD server i am recommended is - https://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/4U/847/SC847E1C-R1K28JBOD I am attaching the layout i am looking for. Can anyone Suggest me the hardware that i should opt for in such a case.

Is my 9900K (future) build good?
dev_1523 replied to Shiniontv's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Look , yes that is surely a case. But i have worked for a PC building company for 2 years and have shipped more than 100 systems myself and have like 0 complains regarding the water-cooling even after such bad handling during shipping. The cases you guys are mentioning is really rare . This is the thing , you got to risk it for better performance and better life of your system. I totally agree with you! -

Cheapest Ryzen to not bottleneck a gtx 1070?
dev_1523 replied to TehGoldenCoin's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Let me get some of the facts right out of the way, Motherboard's will only bottleneck a graphic card or any PCIe device if and only if its data transfer rates surpasses to that of the PCIe Specifications the lanes are rated for. To give a context to it , The B450 Tomahawk board or any other mordern board in general have PCIe Gen 3 specifications . The only known card to bottleneck that in my knowledge is Titan V. Now comes the CPU bottleneck concept , the usually happens when your CPU is not fast enough to tells your GPU the work it should do and in turn your GPU ends up idling for some time during a heavy work load. Taking your case into consideration , Instead of going with a Ryzen 3 2200G is firstly not recommended as it has focus on IGPU and you are obv going to use a dedicated GTX 1070 with it , instead invest a bit more and go with the cheapes Ryzen 5 available. RAM , it is really cruicial whenever you consider buying a ryzen based system , it is all because of the new concept that AMD came up with their ZEN architecture. It is recommended to go with a dual channel and a higher clock speed RAM kit ( getting a ryzen ready kit will be great ). -

i would probably recommend water-cooling only. If budget allows , then even a custom loop will be great but then considering a motherboard upgrade for higher and stable overclock's will be a plus. -

its not a bad choice , just not so great in terms of airflow. But if you are looking for something looks focused and you are digging the design , go for it! -

Here are my suggestions : - Cooling: Go for at-least a decent AIO( All In One ) Liquid Cooler like at-least a 240 mm ( radiator size) one by either Cooler Master( ML240R , ML240L ) or Corsair( H100i ). Motherboard: Here is a cool motherboard buying guide for you - The Best Z390 Motherboards for VRMs, 10Gb LAN, Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX (2018) RAM: Looks Just Fine Cabinet: So this section is a very subjective topic but i would recommend you checking out Fractal Design Meshify C That is all for the build you linked , don't forget to pair a decent GPU with your system if its main purpose is for gaming, but if not , why are you even going for Intel then -
