  1. What about if you used it to cache a 960 drive or similar? Better performance in some areas?
  2. What power supply? X99 chips draw a lot of power when overclocked.
  3. If you still have an X99 board a used 5820K is less than $300. Do whatever you want though, as I really don't care.. this was just a suggestion. And mainly for the OP.
  4. Haswell-E is good for overclocking but Broadwell-E is a dog. I'd go as far to say Haswell-E is the faster CPU even though it has lower IPC Maybe you guys should try a 5820K. The X99 WS boards are really nice and should OC really well, my M does anyway.
  5. Yes or doing it on air with a higher fan speed. Stock/WC there is no way to damage them with the added voltage afterburner or precision allows as long as it's cooled enough. The gains are there if you want it.
  6. Its a frequency world record. The benchmark is being able to validate/screenshot before it goes poo-poo. Graphics benchmarks in XOC is basically a game of how many artifacts you can collect on screen at one time while still passing the bench lol. Coincidentally I was hit up yesterday by someone i was trying to get some LN2 gear off of a while back and now I'm the owner of a Kingpin Dragon F1 EE CPU pot and a Kingpin Tek-9 Slim GPU pot.
  7. Frequencies like this need a modded VRM and voltage unlocked BIOS.
  8. The simplest way to go would be getting waterblocks for the the GPUs and running an open loop.
  9. Why not do a video like 'Best CPU Air Cooler 2017' instead? This just seems like a waste of time.
  10. It's easy. If you like videos games get the 7700K. If you do work or want a powerful system get Ryzen 7.
  11. It reads 20c higher than true temp. 70c idle is still too high though. That voltage fluctuation is a real concern though.
  12. Yeah that's bad. I'd update the bios if possible or send it back.
  13. I believe the X chips read 20c hotter than they actually are. A little Google could back it up but I'm lazy.
  14. We'll see. Taking a chance on a dirt cheap 1800X.
  15. Feser is good and didn't cloud. I'm using the Silver/UV now and it's good as well. I don't think it's guaranteed though. EK ZMT rubber won't.
  16. His youtube channel talks about them I think. He rocks.
  17. Dazmode has his model of Gentle Typhoon, from his Darkside company. I'd get the Noctua over the Swiftech if it's only 2 pound more. I get the OEM Helix for $6.00ea USD.
  18. I like Gentle Typhoons in the higher price range and Swiftech Helix for the lower range.
