  1. Would love to win the Razer Blade. Would be my perfect laptop but I could never afford it
  2. STARCITIZEN NAME: Brains_001 STARCITIZEN MONIKER: Brains 001 SHIPS: Constellation Andromeda, F7C-M Super Hornet
  3. Wendell uses these I believe: http://spaceco.com/sa_monitor_solutions.php?prod_id=8&page_prod_id=8 But they are really expensive, a few hundred dollars each. I am looking at getting this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OZUJ6M4/?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=APLJ5AXPSKRV0 If it's not available where you are then just look for gas powered arms. As for the size restriction, that one would have you covered but I need to find out if I can put a 32" on it(if it is within the weight limit). I reckon you can put bigger ones on. You just have to watch the dimensions for multi monitors to avoid hitting/overlap(i.e. If too big it won't fit)
  4. Hi, A monitor arm says it can hold a max weight of say 8kg, and size of 27". Is the size relevant or could you put say a 32" monitor on it so long as it is under the weight limit? Thanks
  5. I have been wanting to get the original shield for a while but after seeing leeked specs and patents etc, I decided to wait. It now looks like this was just for the tablet and the controller. It doesn't look like there is going to be a new Shield portable any time soon, unless I missed something, and the only way I would do the tablet - controller combo is if there was a way to attach the tablet onto the controller. So as the title says, should I buy a Nvidia Shield portable now?
  6. So I moved my AppData folder and then moved it back and doing so has resulted in all of my modern Apps being broken. I then wen to do system restore but I have no restore points available. Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling windows? Thanks
  7. My favourite thing has to be the speakers. After using the original One I cannot do without them
  8. Basically is it possible to use this without a separate modem. I have a virgin media super hub at the moment which has a modem built in and takes a coaxial cable in. I would like to just use the super hub as an access point to get coverage in the other end of the house and use this as the main router so as to reap all of its benefits, but I don't know how I would go about connecting it in the first place since it has an Ethernet WAN port instead of coaxial. thanks
  9. OK so here is where I am at with this I swapped out the power supply for the old one I had. This made no difference. The system still ends up with the drive off but lights and fans all spinning I have reconnected my current psu (AX860i) and made sure that all connections are secure. This again has had no effect. Atthis point I believe it is a problem with the motherboard. Any thought on how to proceed? Edit: Forgot to do this a while back. A bios update fixed it
  10. Yes they do I will try and find some time this weekend to try it with a different psu. I have an NZXT Phatom 820 cse which has fan control which uses molex for power but it was working fine for ages.
  11. So I have had this problem for a month or two and havent had the time to do anything about until now. Basically when shutting the computer down it works as normal till the point where the drives shutdown, however the fans and case lights are still on. At this point I found that holding/pressing the power and reset buttons on the case or motherboard did nothing and the only way to switch it off was to switch off the power supply. I recently did a fresh install which now allows me to hold the power button to switch it off a completly after the drives have stopped. Whether the pc is on or nearly off, the reset button is a bit temperamental and somtimes works or sometimes does nothing. If it does work it is usually a very delayed reaction(i.e. 5 - 10 secs after pushing the button) I also found that before the fresh install, at the point it was supposed to load windows it would often just stick at a black screen and do nothing and I would need to switch off the PSU and try to boot again(but since the fresh install I have not had this problem). Everything appears to be connected correctly I have checked. I have also made sure drivers are up to date but this has had no effect. Any ideas? Specs : Motherboard - MSI Z77A-GD80 CPU - i5 2500k @ 4.2GHz CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i GPU - EVGA GTX680 4GB PSU - Corsair AX860i HDD - WD 3TB Caviar Green - WD 640GB Blue - Samsug 840 EVO 120GB (this was added with the fresh install) OS - Windows 8
  12. That was another thought I was having. I am with Virgin media, who have given me other problems in the past but in recent months have been fine
  13. its the fact that it only atrted this past week or so and I watch a lot of youtube videos meaning I am having to turn off and on a lot I also would think that its more of a flash thing that youtube Also is it a recent development for you as well?
  14. Recently, and for some reason that I cannot figure out, I have developed a problem with my pc that in particular involves the streaming of youtube videos. Its rather awkward to describe but please bare with me. Basically while watching youtube videos, at some point, the white bar that indocates the amount of video buffered ahead stops, causing the video to stop when it arrives at that point. However this does not necessarily happen with every video. It could be the first one (its usually not), or it could be the 5th one and the time at which it stops varies as well (Usually at least a couple of minutes in (at first)) but it can happen instantly too (i.e. it doesn't play at all) Now when this happens and it stops, sometimes clicking on the play back bar may allow it to jump to that point and it resumes from there (but this does not stop it from repeating this whole thing again at some other point, perhaps only seconds later). This same effect can be had by changing the playback resolution (up or down). However sometimes both of these things do nothing. In fact clicking the playback bar after the video has frozen will make the marker jump to the spot you clicked only for a split second before it returns to the point it stopped at and does nothing The next thing I try is to refresh the page. Again somtimes it works but others when the page reloads it will either be at the start or the point it froze from and it won't buffer anything. This is where it gets odd and sorta loses me. Now although I may be completely unable to finish watching one video, choosing another one will start buffering the new one. However if there is a video that has completly stopped then it is very likely that any others I try to watch do the same. There then comes a point where it just won't buffer any videos at all from the start. It should be noted that until now all of my other browsing activities are unaffected. Now however when I try to reload or open a new page, the new/refreshed page never loads. This goes for windows in seperate browsers as well (to clarify, if i was watching the videos etc in firefox and then everything stops loading, then i can't open things in IE either) I have also noticed however that at this point I am still connected to steam and can chat with friends etc but cannot browse the store as they won't load (just white space) So far the only way I can fix it at this stage is to turn my pc off and on again, which isn't exactly practical. I have updated drivers, software updates, removed some software I installed recently performed a system restore to well before it started (I think) and this has done nothing If anybody can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated EDIT: One last thing I thought may be important is that the other day it went for a few hours with no problems, where as most of the time its only minutes
