  1. I tried this but it still failed so I noted down all the error codes that windows update gave me (right click and press view details). Then i Googled them and the first one I tried led me to the Microsoft community forum (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-windows_install/when-upgraiding-from-windows-8-to-windows-81-error/ce44c757-a08c-4cce-b3aa-6476cdd411be?auth=1) and Rahul_compfreak said "Method 2: Delete sub keys of Mounted Images and check. a. Press Windows key and R key together. b. Type in regedit and press enter. c. Go to the following location and delete sub keys of Mounted Images. Browse to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIMMount\Mounted Images"" All I had to do is delete the files in that location, run windows update again and it worked!!! Thanks for the help anyway!!
  2. I tried to install windows 10 through windows update and it failed so I thought it was a problem once but it happened 7 times (always once it went to install), so then I used Windows Media Creation tool that is used for making a Bootable USB device but can also upgrade devices. Windows Media Creation tool downloaded windows and I accepted the terms and conditions then when it went to install it said it failed. I now don't know what to do, I have tried 8 times and I have given up. Also I have a legitimate version of Windows 8.1 that was pre-installed with my laptop (http://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/7234915/model/7547532/). Help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!
  3. Thanks for the advice, I tend to run simulation games at decent graphics with no card just intel iris and also large spreadsheets and docs. Only 5 months to wait before it doesn't matter
  4. I have a HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p199na and it has 8GB of 1600MHz ram. I was wondering if I could add another stick of Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Ram without voiding the warranty because I bought it on 2/1/15 and it has a 1 year warranty. It does not appear to have a void warranty sticker covering the screws on the outside. I have looked everywhere and I cannot seem to find advice so help would be greatly appreciated as I am sure it will help others. Thanks alot.
