  1. Hey,did you tried above 4ghz in your QHQG.

  2. not boots slowly. just low compute power. shit is over a decade old and 800 series i7 are known to be quite shit overall so yeah.
  3. Currently have an i7-860 but boy is it slow. Already have an MSI H270-A motherboard, and got offered these two Ryzen 3 2200G for 70$ but I need to buy a mobo Intel i5-6500 for 80$ and already have a mobo I am tight on money and later on I will buy brand new PC so it's only for few months or until summer. Paired with a GTX 1060 3GB and I play only League and Tarkov rn. Might restart WoT tho.
  4. Too much lol. Like 250$. I can get a Engineering Sample i7-6700, had one in the past. Works great. 125$ on Ali. Overclocks to base clock i7-6700 with BCLK so yeah idk. DDR4 though so extra $$
  5. Yeah those HUANAN motherboards are compatible with ECC + Xeons, so yeah. They actually sell a E5 1620 + Huana X79 ATX mobo + 4x4GB ECC for 380$CAD as a bundle which is fair imo, but yeah. And X3480 is LGA 1156 VS the LGA 2011 for the 2690 btw.
  6. I meant completely new PC with a new PSU. I would sell my entire PC and buy new parts.
  7. Hello \gamers. I am not sure if it's worth upgrading my PC. It's not s l o w, but it certainly isn't fast by any mean by today's standards. CPU: Intel i7-860 @ 3.5GHz Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E LX RAM: mismatched total of 7GB (dont ask) GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1060 3GB PSU: Old ANTEC 80+ PSU, does the job HDD: WD10EZEX Other than the HDD which was new, total was less than 300$CAD, but still. I was thinking of buying a Intel Xeon E5-2690, 16GB Ram ECC and a X79 motherboard, all from Aliexpress, since they're good value. GPU would be a 1070 Ti. Had one before, good GPU for me. My main uses would be playing League, CSGO, WoT, WoWS, stuff like that. Also streaming in 720p60, so yeah. Any recommendation? I really don't want to spend a fortune on a new PC so yeah lol.
  8. Worst case scenario I'll sell it back on Kijiji for what I bought it for. I'll still bring it to the repair store see if he can do something. Thanks lads.
  9. [yeet] on the 100 posts. but yeah I tried on a different pc (and also found out my 15$ i5-860 and p7p55d-e lx works) so idk. I'll bring it to the chinese repair store next to my house I guess.
  10. It was my poor and ghetto attempt at reflowing the board. Removed everything that I could from it so only the PCB was left. Not sure what to do now. I really want to fix it so.
  11. No I was trying to go from poor with a broken gtx 780 ti to poor with a working gtx 780 ti
  12. Bought this EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC on Kijiji, and even though the GPU powers on and the LED is on, there's no display. I tried cleaning it in 99% isopropyl alcohol and letting it dry for couple hours, and also put it in the oven @ 195°C for 10 minutes, but it's still not displaying anything. I tried it on different computers, both with different PSUs, so I don't see what's wrong. I was thinking of bringing it to a computer repair shop that I sometimes go, but if I can fix it myself, then why not.
  13. oh i didnt know it was against the rules. should i try JUST the GPU or try the whole PC? I want to get in that coin trading game so if I could sell the whole PC I'd have more money to do so.
  14. i was thinking of just selling the GPU for 800-1000$. it will cover 90% of my current debt. i dont think I can build another PC like that for so cheap esp with the prices that keep going up, so yeah.
