NVIDIA just made EVERYTHING ELSE obsolete.
PrivateSpades replied to Emily Young's topic in LTT Releases
It seems your problem should be more with human nature and the economy rather than NVIDIA's sale tactics. You desire to be on the bleeding edge of technology, yet express frustration when this is out of budget? Rather blindsided I think this launch marks a good turn for NVIDIA as a company, and the graphics card market on the whole, particuarly after the holistic flop that Turing was. Obviously its cards are dramatically more expensive than the golden Pascal days, but when factoring inflation, R&D into RTX cores and increased cooling capability (no more garbage blower coolers) and comparing price-performance of Turing, Ampere is sensational. -

Wiping hard drive, installing Windows on SSD.

How do I do that through Disk Management? -
I'm doing a fresh restart with my computer system, aiming to wipe my hard drive completely and then install the os on my new ssd and boot from that. Any good tips how to wipe the drive? Thanks.

Hello, I've just purchased and installed a 250gb SSD and will shortly wipe my current hdd and install windows on ssd while putting programs on hdd. Can i install windows for the second time on my ssd, or is that not supported?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 250gb NVMe ssd (likely samsung 960 EVO), and running OS, select programs etc off the ssd and using the hdd for less mainstream stuff. My system's doing 520gb on my hdd already so porting is no-where near an option. Do you recommend clean installing windows or some funky backup solution to skip the redownloads? thanks all

Cool! I'm currently using a Razer Deathstalker, Razer Deathadder Chroma, Blue Yeti and AKG K553 Pro headphones. Sorry, can't follow you on twitter. Thanks!

Hello all... I've been attempting to run DSR via the Nvidia Geforce program, as I run a 970 on 1080p and... well everything is butter smooth and higher res downsampling sounds cool. I've tried it in a few games, namely Overwatch, World of Tanks and Dota, and all three failed miserably. Overwatch, menus were blurry and oversized, mouse blurry. World of Tanks, everything tiny! Dota, epic fail. Is their anyway to use downsampling but without the monitor aspect ratio changing? I think that's whats going wrong. Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone, I am building a wooden computer case for my school Major Project, as I built my first computer last year and would like to add more to the computer to give it a more natural aesthetic. However, I have no clue in how I can create the frontal i/o (usb, audio and power) ports and fit them in to the case. Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

Hey everybody, Recently completed my computer build (yay!) and am already looking ahead to upgrade in the far future. The most obvious option is plonking in another GPU into my system as I purposely rigged it so it would be compatible. My question is; will my Rm850i support SLI? Checked website and saw nothing in manuals for a slot. Thanks, PrivateSpades

Problem is that the game his less than 30fps... not fun

Hey everybody, So, I have completed my pc, burn-in tests etc and I am starting to play games. My first match in World of Tanks had me grinning with a 120 fps on maximum. Next games are less, and i open the gigabyte oc guru to see that my 970 has downclocked to 900mhz! Anyone know how to stop the downclocking without overclocking?! Thanks guys

Yup, tried the Windows 10 driver, did not work at all. I am thinking of opening my pc up and tightening screws? I'm at a loss here -
