Thank you for your completely stupid and useless answer. 
 
Yes I tried this earlier before I made this post and that didn't solve the problem but I realized there was a little bit of black reskidue in the very bottom of the jack that I couldn't get at. I found a way to get that out with a Q tip and some issypropal alchohol and now it seems to work fine.
