  1. You must like CS:GO... https://www.amazon.com/Acer-GN246HL-Bbid-24-Inch-Display/dp/B00KO4518I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1483643288&sr=8-3&keywords=144hz+monitor
  2. Hey Guys, Im fixing my messed up Mad Catz F.L.Y. 5 joystick... and I've never really repaired an joystick before. All was going good and easy until a pin from that yellow doohickey just pulled itself off with a small tug of the wire but the others did not. No idea what it's called and I think I need to get a replacement on e-bay. If anyone knows what it's called I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
  3. SOMEONE ON THIS FORUM WHO KNOWS HIS FSX! THANK YOU! Yeah. I already have P3D and I am pretty serious with FSX as I do fly for many VAs etc. And I am also a pilot edge member. Anyways. We shall try that when he comes back on Any other suggestions if we bring everything back to before the Nvidia CP tweak and we still get crappy frames?
  4. So. Me and my buddy at the other side of the world tweak each others games via Teamviewer and have great fun with it. Recently my friend got Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam edition. And I am a flight sim enthusiast and I am trying to bring him into this. He has a decent build with a GTX 960 and... Em.. AMD CPU. 4.3Ghz (Not sure) (He's asleep right now) I tweaked FSX's in game settings and maxxed out every single thing in game. Got around 40 FPS with every one of those settings maxxxxxxed out! And he was shocked at the quality difference! So. Then I went into his Nvidia Control Panel. Chose FSX and edited all the settings in there associated with the GPU. Put anti aliasing on 8x, turned Vsync on and some other stuff. But then when we went into FSX we were getting 10-16 FPS which SUCKED! So we reverted all settings back to the way they were before and left in game settings maxxed out. And behold. No god damn difference from those 10-16 FPS... Dammit. We should be getting 40 FFS! Anyone to be our savior? Please. You can donate to saving the panda ads on TV right after this. The pandas will live. Trust me. Just give me a solution! I need this for when he wakes up... And I am kinda stressed out that he might get mad at me and blame me for fucking up his FSX. HEELP <3
  5. I dont think the 970 is VR ready? On the box it should have said VR ready if it is.
  6. This could also be a faulty SSD (I know I am shooting out random things here but this situation is confusing) Try using a spare HDD from another system like maybe plug in a Laptop HDD and see what happens.
  7. So I am really thinking this has to be dead RAM. But from all the other issues it seems crazy. Check the CPU socket for any residue or some kind of material between the connectors. It could just be that or maybe something is being shorted out. Do you still have the beeps etc.? If you do they will be listed in your motherboards manual. So check it out there. Many errors can be listed in the motherboards manual.
  8. No. According to my research it's not and it's not listed on Newegg as a selling point either. You probably lack a 980M because those are usually VR ready.
  9. I know. But it's if he's on somewhat of a budget with the PSU. Do a power calculator test. I got 670W
