  2. What and where should I check in bios?
  3. I have connected fans to the fan hub coming with the case. The fan hub takes power from my motherboards(GA-Z97X-SOC Force) CPU-Fan header. The problem is that when I want to see if the PWM actually works, my CPUID HWMonitor displays 0% activity from "Fans PWM" under the motherboard. Just so you know, the fans ARE spinning, I just don't know if they have the same speed all the time. When I play BF4 my components run hotter(understandably), but I can't hear any difference in fan noice which would indicate that the fans are sticking to the same speed. Please help me solve this! Fan monitor data from CPUID HWMonitor: Hardware monitor ITE IT8620 Voltage 0 0.34 Volts [0x1C] (CPU VCORE) Voltage 1 1.99 Volts [0xA6] (VIN1) Voltage 2 1.99 Volts [0xA6] (+3.3V) Voltage 3 3.35 Volts [0xA6] (+5V) Voltage 5 -7.20 Volts [0x96] (-12V) Voltage 6 -6.00 Volts [0x7D] (-5V) Voltage 7 2.82 Volts [0x8C] (+5V VCCH) Voltage 8 1.48 Volts [0x7B] (VBAT) Temperature 0 26°C (78°F) [0x1A] (TMPIN0) Temperature 1 32°C (89°F) [0x20] (TMPIN1) Fan PWM 0 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM0) Fan PWM 1 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM1) Fan PWM 2 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM2)
  4. I have the motherboard listen in the title, however I've built a blue build which means the orange LED indicators kinda mess it up. The only ones that are anoying are the HD-LED(Indicating when SSD writing is beeing done) and the MBIOS-LED(Indicating that the primary Bios is running). Is there anyway to turn theese off? I don't really benefit from them and they really, as I said, mess up the lighting. Thanks!
  5. Well, there is software where you can set the speed of your fans for different temperatures. So tweeking the auto fan speed mode really.
  6. I remember seeing a video on linustechtips where a software was brought up where you can set different fan speeds for different temperatures. Can anyone find the video, or just send me a link to the software. There are understandably many different softwares of this kind but I want the one you think works best

  8. There are 4 different ones on amazon, which one would you recomend?
  9. Well, it's just easier to say that I wish to spend around $150-$250 on a motherboard
  10. Yeh I know, then it really just comes to the price.
  11. I have four specificatons that my motherboard will need and I was hoping somone could help me find one that has them all. 1. It has to be compatible with the Intel i7-4790k processor. 2. It needs to be able to run 2 way SLI with 2x GTX 980. 3. It needs to have a sufficient ammount of fan connectors spread out across the board. I will have 4 fans up top, 1 back, 2 front, and 4 on the bottom. 4. The board has to have enough room to fit both the graphics cards as well as a sound card without sitting to close and making the components run too hot. This is the case I will be using: http://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Aluminum-Ultimate-Computer-PH-ES813P_BL/dp/B00EB0A6FE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424614169&sr=8-1&keywords=phanteks+enthoo+primo Thanks!

  13. But some say that the processor wont run with the motherboard. Is this the case or not?? Rather important..
  14. So what would you have me do? I like the specs of the motherboard a lot, and the processor seems great for my needs.
  15. I'm planning to buy an Intel i7-4790k processor to go along with an Asus rampage IV Formula(Republic of Gamers) motherboard. However great this processor seems, whilst reading on intels own description(link in the end of the post) I found some specifications that seemed a bit odd. 1. Under Expansion Options, theese configurations are listed: 1x16, 2x8, 1x8/2x4. What is to note here is that the Asus motherboard has 4PCIe lanes, and has as I have understood, theese configurations: 1x16, 2x16, 2x16/1x8, 1x16/3x8(Reference to where I got this information is found in the end of the post). Q: Would this mean that I can't add another graphics card in sli later on and let both run at x16 speed? 2. Under Memory Specifications, Max# of Memory Channels are listed as two. Q: Does this mean that I can only use 2 out of the 4 memory lanes on the motherboard? If either of these questions are found to be true, then what other CPU options do I have that would allow the dual x16 configuration and 4 lanes of memory? If you need to know, it is a GTX 980 that I will be running, and later on two running in SLI. Or is this not needed, will the listed 2x8 speed be good enough and not limit the GPUs too much? Please share your opinion on the matter. References Intel i7-4790k: http://ark.intel.com/products/80807 Motherboard PCIe Configurations video with timestamp: http://youtu.be/l_aJjm0i3Zk?t=9m7s
