  1. Spec should be in my signature.
  2. Cant seem to get enough cold air to my GPU's. I have 2x 140mm @ the front and 1x 120mm on the bottom as intakes. Then 2x 140mm @ the top going though a H110 and 1x 120mm at the back all as exhaust. I had everything out of the case for test and found putting a 120mm fan behind the GPU's (In sort of a front of case position) the GPU 1 would run around 72C @ 50% fan speed. Now all i can get in the case on GPU 1 is shown in the screen shot. 75 @ 62% fan speed. Im using Corsair AF fans cos a really like the lighting i provides but im not sure on there performance. Everything is in a 450D (No alternative so dont suggest and other cases) I just switched to a 450D and Sabertooth z97 for better spacing between GPU's since i was using a Grpyon z87 and 350D. Compared to that everything is better. In the 350D GPU 1 would be 80C @ 75-80 % fan speed which is very noisy. Should i be seeing better than this ^ Also after around 10mins of idle the both GPUs settle around 40C @ 0% fan speed and overall pretty quiet.
  3. I never really let them help before, it was just that once, not for my benifit just wanted to mind f*** with him.
  4. So I was buying a Notebook to use when I travelled. This was the second PC world/currys I went to after returning my first Asus n56vz due to a build issue and they only had a replacement at the other shop. I arrive at the other shop and started to browse around, I knew what I wanted before getting there, the n56vz, this was a bigger shop and was just interested at the other stuff. One of the sales reps find me a start talking to me. Usually I say I'm fine thank you then they leave me alone but this time I thought let's see what you know. I point out to him that I had to return my first n56vz and just came to buy another but instead of agreeing he tried to sell me alternative. He shows me this other notebook and says things like the screen is bigger it has an i5 processor and it's a lower price. Note the n56vz has an 3610QM. I ask him what's the resolution of the screen and he goes blank. I do a quick check on the notebook and find it's only 1600x900 compared to 1920x1080 so the pixel density is lower, he was lost, didn't understand what I was talking about. He then tries again and says it has a Intel HD4000 GPU, but the n56vz has a dedicated Nvidia GT650M which is far better. I point out the screen was glossy not Matt and it was all plastic compared to the aluminium on the one I wanted. At this point he just gives up and goes to fetch the Asus notebook from stock. So this just shows that some of these 'tech savy' sales reps really don't know what there talking about and can only read off stickers.
  5. tbh i have 3 case boxes and 2 monitor boxes but they really do take up room so i didnt bother.
  6. :L I've got a feeling that im gna get woken up one night when 1 of my cats try to climb it lol.
  7. :L i know. I just temporary. Im switching to a 450D and Z97 sabertooth tomorrow so i though id pull everything out of the 350D.
  8. Wanted to do this since i first saw it on the WAN show. Not quite a big but i still like it. Anyone else feel free to show off there wall/fort of boxes
  9. thought so. I was considering the G3258 for some cheap fun but realised it may cause issues in games.
  10. So i have a Gryphon Z87 board laying around now after replacing it with a Z97 sabretooth and i want to throw a CPU in it. I also have a couple of HD6970's in my old Phenom X6 system but id rather make use of the 350D (again just laying around since the larger board) rather than the 650D i also have, the 350D being smaller, more practical generally i like it more than the 650D. Also the Formula IV board wont fit in a 350D. So i want a CPU thats best bang for the buck, something better than the Phenom 1100T but way cheaper than my 4770K in my main rig and good enough to not bottle neck 2 HD6970's. Weird eh? :L Also id like to play around with overclocking on it. Get some decent OC like 4.5-5Ghz, i know i really depends on the luck of the draw but yeah. If no reasonable easy solution is around then because its not an essential system atm more for mates who want to LAN or as a general second system, then ill hold out and pick up a 4690K. Any suggestions
  11. So im looking at getting a Synology DS215J and some drives. I am a fan of WD and always bought WD, currenly i have 2 backs 500GB + a 3TB Red, never had issues. I was looking at putting two 4TB Reds in the NAS but come across a couple of bad reviews with the being DOA. What do people suggest, go with Reds or another brand?
  12. Looks like ill upgrade to the Corsair 450D and Sabretooth Z97 to get the cards spaced apart abit.
  13. Neither of my STIX 970's have screeching coil wine, just a slight buzz. Nothing obstructive for me, my case fans are more obstructive.
