  1. I'm starting up a D&D campaign with some friends and I want to use Discord. Only issue is that I'd really like to mix my desktop audio and microphone to add background music and sound effects. After searching around, closest thing I can seem to find that gets me close is VB-Audio, but I think I'm trying to make it do something it's not built to do. I guess the best way to put is that I want to merge my microphone and desktop audio into one feed for discord. Any suggestions?
  2. I figured, but I didn't see it anywhere. Oh well

  4. Serious question, who can I stay with for two nights? I REALLY want to go, but flying in from Midwest USA isn't cheap. P.s. That was slightly a joke, but if anybody has a recommendation for hotels in the area, I'm all ears.

  6. Couldn't find any threads on this already. Just curios what widgets everyone uses. Productivity? Well designed? Cool tech features?

    Dark Mode

Isn't there a way to turn on dark mode in the forums? I could have SWORN I heard that was a feature somewhere.

  10. Usually don't comment on the videos, but wanted to leave some feedback because I noticed the change in production. I'm actually enjoying the pacing of the real world tests and build log videos with a more "as if I'm really there" vibe. They seem more engaging and less cause and effect. The only criticism I have is less shaky cam. Either way, keep it up. Enjoying the content as usual.
  11. I'm torn on what to do with my Note 7. Should I keep it, try the Nexus 6p, or switch to the iPhone 7?
  12. Watching the WAN Show with my sister and she thought Luke looks like the actor Dan Stevens.
  13. I'm interested in doing something similar to Linus by having my PC in a server rack. I've never worked with them before though and wondering where should I begin? Is it possible to put consumer grade hardware in a server shelf or would I have to customize it? CPU: i7-4790K 4.0GHz Cooler: H100i GTX MB: Asus Z97-AR ATX LGA1150 RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro GPU: GTX 970 WINDFORCE PSU: Corsair CX 750W Semi-Modular ATX
  14. I took a screen shot last night while I was streaming. I'm not really familiar with the ranges of temperatures under load. They were averaging around 110 degrees Fahrenheit per core, and the GPU was at 150. Are those okay temperatures for extended use? I just get super paranoid about overheating my hardware. I'm considering getting a capture card to put in the machine, but I don't know if that'd really help the CPU that much. Screen shot
  15. I'd really like to stick to $200ish as much as possible, even though I know that's probably not going to happen.
  16. Wanting to invest in streaming equipment and take some of the load off my main PC. From what I've learned, it'd be better to use a second PC with a capture card than do everything in one machine. That being said, I don't have a ton of cash to throw at it, so I'm wondering what's the lowest price point I could go and still have a decent setup?

I forgot about the CPU hit. Looks like it might be better to just build another machine or find something appropriate on craigslist?
  18. Right now I have a gtx 970, with three monitors, and soon to add a 48" tv (for occasional use). I want to get more invested in streaming, but it always maxes out my gpu because it's doing all the work. Just trying to figure out what my best options are- should I get a capture card or another gpu to handle the streaming, could I use two types of gpu's if I'm not going to SLI, should I just build a separate machine to handle the upload?

    Chicago

I'm visiting Chicago for the weekend. Wording if there's any cool tech shops to visit?
  20. A guy on craigslist. I'm going to look at everything tonight. This made me laugh I actually like both Apple and Android. I've switched between them multiple times. This just seemed to good to be true.
  21. I'm being offered a trade for my iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch Sport for a Note 5, Gear VR, and a wireless charger. I think I'm going to do it! What do you think?
  22. I'm not at my computer right now, so I don't have the OS version but I updated yesterday when I turned on my pc. It was running all day with no problems, then I tried to turn if off. Everything powered down like normal, then one second later it boots back up. I had this exact issue when I first built the machine. I eventually gave up and would just power the system down by holding the front button. For months I did this, until I disabled the sleep/ hibernate feature in the start menu and it stopped. Everything was normal until this update. The sleep/ hibernate button is already disabled and I'm reliving my nightmare. My only hope this time is that I KNOW it's not hardware, and it HAS to be a setting that got reset. Please help!
