So I've been thinking about designing my own mechanical keyboard PCB and writing my own firmware for it. If I ever got around to it and saw it through, would anyone be interested?

ideas thus far, and I've been reading about how to use the specific chip and putting together a rough BOM for all the parts.

    Spoiler
    • 60% layout bc it's more unique than a tkl or full size
    • USB C all the things
    • Kailh Box switches (I mean you could put whatever switch you want on the PCB, that's just the ones I'm interested in and they're cheap)
    • SAMD21 MCU (fast as balls, cheap as balls, also doesn't need an FTDI adapter chip like most ATMega chips)
    • 3d printed case (because cheap) but CNC wood case would be dope
    • ws2812b underglow LEDs
    • 0.96" OLED for whatever, maybe like keyboard modes or custom messages or something

It would be a fun project, I've been wanting to design a PCB that implements a microprocessor (basically just designing my own arduino, but maybe with special functions) as it's something that happens at work a lot. I've just never done it myself. I'm growing a little tired of my trusty Cooler Master TKL keyboard, even a TKL is a little large on a college dorm desk.
