  1. 850w Corsair. It doesn’t seem like anything is getting power cut off as much as it’s just glitching out like it’s a driver issue. How would I go about reverting drivers or something like that?
  2. Hey all! I built a racing rig with my dad, installed windows 10 home n, everything ran great after driver updates and all that. I didn’t play much but we drove around in dirt Talley changing settings for about an hour. then we ended up with a windows 10 pro key so I reinstalled windows clean, installed all the same updates, drivers and programs but now every time a launch a game there’s a problem. some games like assetto corsa will run right up until you actually go into the race. Odd thing is there’s a pre-game screen where it’s rending the car so it’s odd that works but the game doesn’t. Once I click start, the computer crashes, all screens turn black and the computer restarts after some glitchy noises. other games like F1 run for about 30 seconds before completely crashing the same way. this seems to be regardless of any in game settings. PC specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Gaming XT X 32GB Teamgroup 6000 DDR5 Samsung 990 pro Nvme im not running any overclock, i turned off xmp and the temps are up to 85C on the cpu (air cooler) and 70 on the gpu. I figured it would be graphics drivers but I updated them before launching any games and then again now and no change. Where do I go from here? I’m at a loss of even figuring out what I need to fix let alone how to fix it! Any help would be sincerely appreciated!!
  3. I guess what I'm asking is what are the good processors and graphics cards on the lower end nowadays?
  4. Athlon? The price doesn't matter so much as upgradability. There has to be a more recent setup that runs a little lower in the price point right?
  5. Hey guys, I havn't kept updated with the newest parts since just before Ryzen launched. Can somebody help me make a decent ~$500 build? Its just going to play Magic Arena and older games like Skyrim and such. Doesn't need to be too powerful. Just 1080p gaming. Any suggestions or updates with Graphics cards and CPU's especially will help!
  6. I have a Beastly Router. But I keep getting emails from Comcast saying my modem can’t keep up. I just upgraded to a 250mbps down 15mbps up. What’s the best modem I can use for this that’s not way overpriced?
  7. I just have it in my pc. I had the CPU laying around.
  8. No I’m paying about $50 a month right now for me and my friends’ Gaming pc’s. I’m just wondering how much extra roughly it would be compared to how much i can expect to make off of it.
  9. I have a GTX1080 and I found a Pentium G4560 that I had laying around.. all i need is a motherboard and i have the rest of the parts. Should i make a mining rig? what should i mine? what should i expect to pay for power and what should i expect to make?
  10. no probelm buddy! feel free to message me if you ever have questions
  11. the typical ones use Sata data and Sata power ports, just like any hard drive. but newer m.2 SSD's use m.2 slots located on the motherboard; though you can use PCI-e extention cards to use them there if your motherboard doesn't have an m.2 slot
  12. graphics cards use 16x PCI-e slots: they are the longest ones, usually with a clip on the end
  13. @seanbisepic the only option available is "delete" the rest are greyed out
  14. wmic command gives ok on 6 drives. that is the correct number of disks, but one has a partition, does that affect the number of drives? if so, its not even seeing the drive. if not we're good. secondly I tried to run chkdsk but the drive does not have a letter... see screenshot. (its disk 5)
  15. its a 1TB USB 3.0 external drive which was disconnected from a mac without "safe ejecting" and now it seems inaccessible. I went into the Disk management in windows and it sees the drive and its partitions. but I can't seem to access the drive no matter what I do! any suggestions?
  16. Hey guys I’ve been a bit out of the loop for a while. I have a GTX 1080 and i just got some freesync 4k monitors. The 1080 can’t quite keep up a solid 60fps in some games. I thought about getting another 1080, but sli can be a pain and if need a new power supply anyway. I thought about a 1080ti. But i was wondering if the Vega cards from amd have anything to offer? Then i could take advantage of freesync and it wouldn’t have to hit 60fps all the time. Any ideas?
  17. my problem is how strange they look. can you take them off those stands?
  18. I have about 6 inches behind my monitors I can keep them. If not im fine to hang them on the wall just above my monitors. I'd like a subwoofer. I like I lot of kick in the lows and crispness in the highs.
  19. no real budget. I'll save up for whatever. I just wanna know whats best for the money
  20. I've been using the same crappy old speakers for my PC for years. I don't have a dac or amp but I want to get a Schiit set one day cause they look so cool. I want to get a set of speakers that can work with my PC now, and later I can plug into one of those for some increased clarity and such. But I don't know maybe I'll need them all at once. Anyway I'm in need of new Speakers and I'd love some suggestions!
  21. Hey! I just got my hands on the $300 ($200 off) LG Monitor. anyway, I want to get another one. but I also would like a monitor arm in the future. whats the best one that could fit both of these? with minimal wobble and lots of adjustment.
  22. Not sure if this is the right category, so feel free to move it mods <3 First, let me explain my goal here. I mainly game on my PC but occasionally i'll hop on my Xbox One to watch netflix or play with friends. Its nice because I just say "Hey Cortana, Turn on the Xbox" and the kinect will automatically turn on my Xbox, TV, and receiver (for speakers and such). At this point everything works totally fine, its wireless and seamless. Problem is, my reciever gets pretty hot, it has no fans, and I just got a new entertainment center thats a bit smaller, so it'll get even hotter without a fan, So will my xbox. Anyway, I just wanna figure out a way to hook up standard PC fans, Specifically the Fractal Design Venturi HF 140mm fans. I can hook them up to a power strip and have them on 24/7. But theres really no need for extra noise and power consumption for something I use so little. The USB ports on the Xbox one give off very little power, and i'm pretty sure they only turn on when the console turns on. So I want something that recognises, hey the xbox is on, I need to be on now. Then begin pulling power from the wall and turn the fan on with the possibility of more fans being hooked up. If this requires a raspberry pi, I'll totally go get one. Any Ideas? Thoughts? I'll be updating this post, and maybe making videos on it.
