  1. How are these in games? Have you tried quality open headphones in games? How's the sound stage and the general feeling?
  2. Could you explain why maybe? Compare and contrast them with the other headphones on the list if you're experienced with any. Thanks!
  3. Hey peoples, after spending hours looking this stuff up I need some help deciding. I already have Corsair Vengeance 1500 for gaming, so I don't care about mic. However, I would like the headphones to sound good in games for when I'm playing alone. I'll be using my mobo onboard sound card. I'm leaning towards open headphones due to the bigger sound stage. What I'm looking for: - Best sounding headphones for music&games $100 or less can buy. - ON EAR, comfortable, preferably open. - Has to sound good for: DnB, dubstep, electronic music in general. - Has to ship to Canada BC. - Have to sound good for: Skyrim, Battlefield 4, Planetside 2... I've read a lot of these threads and looked at a lot of headphones. Here's what I've found so far as my choices (keep in mind prices are higher for Canada): - Audio Technica AUD ATHAD500X - ~$80. - http://www.amazon.ca/Audio-Technica-ATH-M30x-Professional-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUQW8 ~ $80. (Audio Technica ATH-M30x) - http://www.amazon.ca/Beyerdynamic-DTX-910-Headphones-Portable/dp/B0032EQRR6 ~ $70. ( Deyerdynamic DTX-910) - http://www.amazon.ca/Superlux-681-Dynamic-Semi-Open-Headphones/dp/B002GHIPYI ~ $50. (Superlux HD681, NOT EVO) - http://www.amazon.ca/Superlux-HD668B-Dynamic-Semi-Open-Headphones/dp/B003JOETX8 ~ $75. (Superlux HD668B) - http://www.ncix.com/detail/sennheiser-hd518-open-e-a-r-technology-fe-82161-1034.htm ~ $95. (Sennheiser HD 518) - http://www.ncix.com/detail/kingston-hyperx-cloud-gaming-headset-2c-96825-1034.htm ~ $70. (HyperX) (I hear they're good, but I don't care about the mic...) - http://www.ncix.com/detail/sennheiser-pc330-g4me-14-97-52369-1382.htm ~ $90. (Sennheiser PC330) (Because they're on sale) I don't like the audio technica m30x or m50 for that matter since they're closed. Am I wrong for not liking them? Are they actually really good in games? I'm thinking of just getting the Superlux-681-Dynamic for $50 as my first proper Audio headphones and call it a day. However, I know that I will probably spend more money on headphones later, so should I just buy the HD518 for $100? Which ones on this list would be the best for what I want? Which one is the best bang for the buck considering the headphones price? Thanks!
  4. Dem sexy bezels with that massive screen!
  5. 120gig for OS and apps because of speed. 1TB WB black for storaging the gigantic steam lib and other stuff because it was what I had with my last pc.
  6. Hmm... I always praised Steam for their sales, but lately I've been noticing that the origin sales are not bad at all: https://www.origin.com/en-ca/store/?no-takeover=true. I know this is old games but I've never seen any of the COD or Skyrim go on sale as much as BF3. Also, you can return games on origin within 10 days O.O https://www.origin.com/en-ca/great-game-guarantee, when the hell did this happen!? Are they just throwing away money to win the gamers now? Origin still sucks as software, I can't believe you have to do hacks to make it install games on other partitions than C:, Plenty of people have SSD's these days.
  7. Anyone here has WHS 2011 or WS 2012 essentials? I would really like to hear your opinions.
  8. Thanks for the replies guys! I'll check out ubuntu Server and WHS 2011 then. Also, price isn't an issue since I'm a student and I can get student licenses on many microsoft products.
  9. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Linus and Slick keep saying in the videos that this is a great place to get help, and since I've seen pretty much all of their videos for the past many years, thought I'd give it a try. Quickly here are the specs for the server: -AMD A8-3870k with a Gigabyte FM1 mobo -4 gigs of Kingston RAM -2 WD 2T green HDD's, 1 Seagate 2T 5900RMP HDD, 1 Seagate 320gig 2.5inch (for OS) -500W Fractal PSU, and NZXT Tempest case. -No raid card, I'm going to set up software RAID 5 (I know this is not the best) The server is connected to the router (ASUS RT-N56U) by Ethernet. My main PC, and other 3 PC's in the house are connected by WAN. I'm having some troubles with setting up a home server for myself using Widows Server 2012 Essentials and I really need help. I installed WS 2012 essentials and tried to just follow instructions in the Dashboard to start configuring it. When I added my main PC to the server, it changed my start up screen, so now I had to log in either locally or as one of the server accounts. I do not want this, I want my main rig to go straight to Desktop when I boot it up. When I tried to reverse this on my main PC, long story short... many things went wrong and now I'm burning a WIN 8 DVD to make a fresh install. So now I would like to get some help to help me decided what to do. This is what I want from a home server: -My main pc to go straight to Desktop at launch (log into my local admin account automatically) -To access data on the server easily. Preferably have like a "Shared Folder" next to all my drives in "My Computer". -Automated Back-ups on all the local computers in the house. -Access the server to play movies and access files. Preferably through a Browser (I could settle for VPN). -Preferably have a build in remote desktop and VPN. -Easy management and set-up? plz? School just started... Can Windows Server 2012 Essentials do these things? Should I try using Windows Home Server 2011? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
